I was thoroughly entertained from start to finish. Very interesting characters, but not as much depth and style as Guillermo's better films like Pan's Labyrinth and Pacific Rim.

(Usb) Baroque and not brilliant, tha first part in the circus exceeds in some characters, and then things add to a climx wth 4 characters, but the tycoon is too Kane style, Blanchett is too stereotyped femme fatale...Roony Mara is the new Jean Simmons, she deserved better scenes...

Everybody noticed that, for the 1st time of his career, Del Toro finally handled a fairly realistic tale without some fantastic elements but there was an obvious connection between his usual work an... read more

" Date: 4/14/2022 Viewed: Hulu First Viewing Note: Ever since seeing Blade 2 in the theaters back in 2002, I've been a huge fan of Guillermo del Toro's films. I've been looking forward to seeing this film since it was announced in 2017. Due to a lack of time and money, I was unable to see it on the big screen back in December. I finally decided to watch it because it's now available on both Hulu and HBO Max (as of 4/14/2022). It's worth noting that I've never read the book or watched the origi"

A Complete Review of Guillermo del Toro's work (12 movies items)

" Cast : Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara, Toni Collette, Willem Dafoe, Ron Perlman, David Strathairn, Richard Jenkins, Tim Blake Nelson What was it about? An ambitious young carny with a talent for manipulating people with a few well-chosen words hooks up with a female psychiatrist who is even more dangerous than he is. Top 10 best movies 2021 (20 movies items)

" Notes: For the 1st time of his career, Del Toro finally handled a fairly realistic tale without some fantastic elements but there was an obvious connection between his usual work and this carnival world filled with freaks and misfits. Anyway, there is no denying that the damned thing looked amazing and Del Toro, with his first neo-noir, delivered a pitch-perfect mood. Bradley Cooper also delivered a strong performance as well, even if his character turned out to be not much more than a cheap h"

Bradley Cooper also delivered a strong performance as well, even if his character turned out to be not much more than a cheap hustler after all. Concerning the story, it definitely had some potential but, to be” read more

Predicting the Winners of the 2022 Oscars (20 movies items)

"And the Nominees are... *Dune- Patrice Vermette and Zsuzsanna Sipos *Nightmare Alley- Tamara Deverell and Shane Vieau *The Power of the Dog- Grant Major and Amber Richards *The Tragedy of Macbeth- Stefan Dechant and Nancy Haigh *West Side Story- Adam Stockhausen and Rena DeAngelo And the Oscar goes toโ€ฆ I had Dune for the longest time, but something stuck out to me going through previous winners; period wins. Fantasy does well, fantasy/period slays, but period is a killer. Also, heavy VFX "
