A glorious action fiesta - but not without issues

"Reason for the future sucking: Imagine, being dead. Then coming back to life, not knowing who you are. Then learning your wife is about to be cloned, and bio engineered. That would kind of suck. Year it takes place: Near futurish."
"First viewing - July 14th I wanted to check out Hardcore Henry back when it came out, but never got around to it. Then the reviews I've seen over time have been mixed, to the point I started to write it off. But as it was slated to leave Netflix this month I figured I'd finally give it a look and make up my own mind about it. Overall, it's an interesting experiment and not much more I think. The experience is akin to playing a first-person shoot-'em-up video game, in the best and worst ways. I"
“To be honest, I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this flick but since it seemed to be intriguing, I thought I might as well check it out. In fact, it was not the first movie I saw completely shot in first-person perspective (I saw at least two of them called ‘Zusje’ and ‘Thomas est amoureux’) but the damned thing was still seriously original even if I have to admit that this experiment was not completely successful. Indeed, the whole thing was pretty much constantly disorienting, often nauseating and sometimes borderline unwatchable but I still enjoyed most of it though. Indeed, the makers went actually beyond the whole first-person gimmick and it was probably the first movie I saw during which the action was pretty much non-stop. As a result, it was quite unpredictable and” read more

" Ridiculous and stupid, but in all the same ways FPS games are. It really did look like action game cutscenes through the whole thing. The first person aspect worked better than I thought, it was less jostling than a lot of found footage movies I've seen and did a good job keeping the pace up and going. I don't know if that justifies its existence or means it's worth watching, as the writing is about as bottom-of-the-barrel as most of the games it imitates, but I was at the least impressed by ho"
"This action film's gimmick is that it plays out entirely in POV, presumably to emulate a video game feel. Well, sometimes what works in one medium doesn't in another! I don't usually get motion sickness from POV camera movies, but this one (as well as the brief first-person sequence in Grimsby) made me queasy within five minutes because the camera was moving way too fast! Plus, the action scenes are relentless, following each other nonstop with hardly a second to breathe, which makes the whole t"
"14.3. (Cmore) Hyvin paljon FPS-peliltä tuntuva Hardcore Tom(Henry) on hyvin hyppysissään pitävä paketti, jonka toiminta on hullua kameran heiluttelua.
"I've never got motion sick before this ridiculous film. Not even an interesting plot, not good acting. Few interesting "stunts"."
