"Plot: After a signal spurs the bulk of people into a series of violent mental and physical changes, a group of survivors treks across what remains in a bid to find others. There certainly is a lot of promise in the concept of Cell. Moments show glimmers of something that could of been a breath of fresh air, even. Alas, despite this not being a zombie movie outright, it is riddled with tropes of the genre. Moments seem unearned, plot elements seem to pop out of nowhere, and a profoundly cheap lo"
"Based on Stephen King's novel, this is another one that's so agonisingly boring I can't hope to adequately convey it. After a promising start, it descends into utter tedium really fast; it's every zombie apocalypse story you've ever seen before. On top of that, it's incompetent on almost every level: the acting, the direction, the camerawork, the effects โ everything. The zombies, or "phoners", making actual dial tone noises is an idea that just does not work on screen. The only reason I kept "

"TITLE OF WRITTEN WORK: Cell PUBLISHED FORMAT: novel AUTHOR/CREATOR: Stephen King ORIGINAL PUBLICATION YEAR: 2006 HAVE I READ: Yes NOTES: The film was actually quite awful, but even the novel was hard to like at times."

"Got a few good laughs which is always a great sign watching a horror movie. The human bird flock running circles is propably the dumbest and funniest thing I've seen in a movie for a while but also the scene where the Cusack and Sam L. Jackson drove a truck in a trackfield squishing the "cellphone-zombies" and covering the rest in gasoline before burning them was funny as shit too. Mostly because the CGI was just laughable. The movie had so many awfully stupid moments that will make you laugh..."

"OCTOBER 3: Not sure what happened to the original note I had typed in here. Anyways, the only reason this movie was on my list of movies to watch was because I had just finished reading the book before this movie was due to hit theaters and wanted to see it. However, it didn't seem to have any place in any of my local theaters, so I had to wait until now. It deserves every low rating at seemed to have gotten from critics and viewers alike. It barely stuck to the plot of the novel and when it did"
