I realise I will probably be the victim of an angry mob for this, especially here on listal, but I believe this is the first Alfred Hitchcock movie that I've seen...
(bare in mind I've only just really started watching movies, by which I mean taking note of directors and stuff)
I'm not normally one to watch 'horror' movies and tend to avoid them in favour of any other film, having said that, I don't mind them if they are actually a decent film, which this was and plus it's a classic so I had to eventually!
The house scene near the end definitely had me edgy and then the very end just equals Fucked. Up. Shit. and then theres the smile at the very very end...creeeepy. I wont spoil any of the story but the twist really is pretty amazing. I originally thought it being in black and white would be a negative, however, just like I found with 'The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance' which I watched a few days ago, the effect it creates can be pretty powerful, especially with adding at atmostphere to that creepy house!

I don’t think many people have been this one, if fact I actually had to add the page for it myself.. It was only a TV movie so the effects and acting aren’t exactly film budget standard, however it still provides a pretty chilling tale... based on the true story of the serial killer John George Haigh, known as the Acid Bath Murderer. Without doing a full biography on him, he was an inventor who wrongly believed that murder could not be proven without the presence of a body. This is the second time I've seen this and I still think it's actually really good and definitely worth a watch.
Never really liked Martin Clunes as he normally stars in TV shows that have absolutely no appeal to me, however I caught this on TV a while ago and I thought he was actually top class in this, giving a really good portrayal of a friendly serial killer...

I'd seen bits of this when I was younger but never all the way through for some reason. Anyway I was meaning to watch it for a while, as it's one of them films I should have seen, being a massive Robin Hood fan.
The story is relatively standard for a Robin Hood tale, but that's not a bad thing. The action in the film is pretty good and most of the acting is as well and I was mainly kept interested throughout.
Not sure if I prefered Kevin Costner or Russell Crowe as Robin but he was still pretty good. I thought Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio portrayal of Marian was poor, I found her to be annoying throughout the entire film and didn't really add anything interesting to the film, whereas Alan Rickman and Morgan Freeman make great additions. Alan Rickman plays the evil sheriff of Nottingham and he is pretty much perfect for the role, he really suits being the bad guy, and Morgan Freeman plays Azeem, a Moor warrior who helps out Robin with his trusty saracen sword and other mysterious ways.
It's not as good as some other Robin Hood adaptations I've seen, but I would still recommend it and probably watch it again myself at some point.

I was going for 4 movies in one day but didn't start this till after midnight. I chose to watch this as I plan on watching the entire Star Wars saga again, this is because I recently made a list on here of Star Wars gifs, and seeing them really made me want to watch the films. So I thought I may as well do it in chronological order.
This was probably one the first films I ever considered 'my favourite' when I was a kid and it was one of my first memories at the cinema. Anyway this viewing...I hate the entire inclusion of all the 'Gungans', they just ruin everything, if I was Qui-Gon I would of chopped off Jar Jars head as soon as I met him....but I guess that would make me a sith. Everyone seems to completely hate this one, but I believe it was saved by great performances from Liam Neeson and Ewan McGregor and the inclusion of the pretty badass sith Darth Maul with his double ended lightsaber.
The score is great, as with all Star Wars film, the lightsaber duel at the end is pretty cool and some of the acting is good, however there are a few negatives too, some of mine include; the Gungans suck and ruin every scene they are in, there's too many cheesy moments for my liking, Qui Gon should have used to force to drop kick Jar Jar when they first met and there's no Boba Fett.
I still find it hilarious that it was technically Darth Vader who build C-3PO. ;p

The fight scenes in this one are a lot better than the first as the Clones make for much cooler warriors than the Gungans did. Get to see a lot more Jedi in action which is cool as well. We get to see the brith of the Clones as well, that will one day become known as the Storm Troopers, and the best thing of all, we get to see Boba Fett for the first time! He's only a child in this, being trained by his dad Jango Fett, who he inherits most of the cool equipment from.
Everyone slates Hayden Christensen as Anakin, but I think he does an alright job, not enough to really equal the rest of the cast or give justice to the role but still alright. Christopher Lee provides a great performance as 'the bad guy' Sith Lord Count Dooku and Natalie Portman provides pretty good eye candy for the prequals.
Negatives of this films include, the cheesey moments are still there for the kids, Jar Jar still makes an appearence and too much time is wasted on Anakin and Padmé.

My favourite of the prequels, the war is in full swing and so, it has some good action scenes, including some good lightsaber fights, most notably the ones between Anakin and Obiwan and between Yoda and Darth Sidious. The main thing that I like about this film however, is that it’s the last of the saga(before the Disney ones) and so it completes the puzzle making everything fit together.
Negatives for this instalment are not in as much company as the other two of the prequels but there are still some, they include; The cheesy moments for the kids still exist which are annoying, such as the droids talking like idiots, Plo Koon dies, my favourite character from the Play station 1 game ‘Jedi Power Battles’, and there’s no Boba Fett. Probably the biggest negative for me is that when Mace Windu and 3 other Jedi’s confront Darth Sidious, he kills the other 3 before Samuel L. Jackson could even say motherfucker, I know they’re trying to make him look the all powerful Sith lord, but that’s a joke, especially considering they are all on the council! Also the fight should have been much longer.
I hate the bit when ‘Order 66’ is executed, but it had to happen I guess :(

Star Wars (1977)
Rewatch on the 3rd
The original Star Wars and probably my second favourite of the saga after Return of the Jedi. This was the first introduction to the world of Star Wars at a time when the Jedi and knowledge of the force are all but diminished. However 'a new hope' emerges and he soon begins his training to become a Jedi. Han Solo makes his first appearance and in my opinion really steals the show, he's funny and he's not to be messed with.
The lightsaber fight between Obi Wan and Darth Vader could have been better, but it was the first one they did I guess, so I'll let them off. There's a few seconds of Boba Fett too! ;D
Not much point commenting on the acting in these 3 as it's all great, it's just the questionable effects/creatures ;p
Amazing film, amazing memories to go with it.

The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
Rewatch on the 3rd
Now that I've rewatched this one I think I liked it more that 'A New Hope', the lightsaber fight is definitely a lot better, plus we get to see Yoda, who begins teching Luke to actually use the force.
Plus there's more Boba Fett action, securing his place as the secondary villain after Lord Vader, who also gets a lot more screen time and yet is still as threatening and effective.

FG93's rating:

Return of the Jedi (1983)
Rewatch on the 3rd
The final installment and my favourite of the entire saga. Sadly Boba Fett and Yoda die, although apparently in the books and online story Boba Fett escapes and Yoda lives on through the force, so it's all good :)
The story in this one is pretty much; Luke is almost a Jedi Knight and finally excepts the truth about Vader and a final assault on the empire is launched by the rebels.
The film doesn't really have any negative points for me, other than the Ewoks, they are pretty annoying, but the stormtroopers on the forest moon of Endor look way cooler than the normal troopers, and have epic speeders so that makes up for it. It was good to see Luke acting a little more badass than in the last two films, especially in Jabba's palace, he definitely seemed more 'Jedi like' and less 'annoying kid', the lightsaber fight between Luke and Darth Vader at the end is pretty epic too.

The Fifth Element (1997)
Watched on the 7th
Finally I can say I've watched The Fifth Element! I've been meaning to watch this for a long time and always see great reviews for it on here. It lived up to the expectations built up by these reviews, it was great!
Has an amazing leading cast, Bruce Willis, Gary Oldman, Milla Jovovich to name a few... all of them are great!
Funny, full of awesome action scenes and highly recommended!

FG93's rating:

Batman & Robin (1997)
Rewatch on the 9th
Almost forgot I watched this at the weekend...what a shame. Definitely one of my least favourite Batman films and yet, for some reason, I still hold it in higher regard than most people. The acting is lame, the jokes and action are too, oh and so is the story..(and casting)

FG93's rating:

Piranha 3D (2010)

It was pretty bad, the only real redeeming qualities are badass Ving Rhames and Kelly Brook.

Piranha 3DD (2012)

One of the biggest piles of shit I've ever seen.
Even if it was meant to be a joke, shit.
Doesn't deserve a picture.

Watched on the 13th
This is the first time I'd seen this all the way through and it was great! I'd seen a lot of reviews saying how long it was and hard to sit through but I found entertaining throughout, with some pretty cool gun fights and slick dialogue.

FG93's rating:

Johnny English Reborn (2011)
Watched on the 15th
Used to think the original was amazing and so was pretty curious to see what they did in this one. Just seems to be a much less funny version of the first with quite a few of the jokes being recycled from it too.

FG93's rating:

Chinatown (1974)
Watched on the 15th
Not sure what I was expecting but this was actually pretty good, and probably one of the best Jack Nicholson performances I've seen.

FG93's rating:

Silver Linings Playbook (2012)
Watched on the 16th
I first saw the trailer for this in the cinema when I went to see The Hobbit and I remember turning to my girlfriend when the trailer had finished and saying 'well that looks shit', and yet, in spite of myself, I really enjoyed this. Maybe because I wasn't expecting anything but I actually thought this was a pretty good film. The great cast helped too I guess.

FG93's rating:

Gangster Squad (2013)
Watched on the 16th
I love a good gangster movie, especially about this era, so I was always going to like this, to be honest I wanted it to be better than it was, but it was still a good movie.

FG93's rating:

Million Dollar Baby (2005)
Watched on the 18th
Wow! This film is amazing, 10/10 easily. Not one bad performace and not one boring scene!
Just an amazing film, this doesn't happen to me often, but I think my heart actually stopped for a second when she was falling towards the stool
Proper review coming tomorrow!

So Undercover (2012)
Watched on the 20th
Not really sure why I watched this... it should have a massive warning sticker on the front saying only for teen girls.
