Skandar Keynes as Frank Hardy, famous teen detective, Joe's older brother, and one of Nancy's friends. He and Joe happened to be on a case in Hawaii at the same time as Nancy, and the two cases are related.

Asa Butterfield as Joe Hardy, famous teen detective, Frank's younger brother, and one of Nancy's friends. He's a goofball.

Daryl Sabara as Ned Nickerson, Nancy's boyfriend.

In the game series, he's a phone-a-friend character, but maybe the phone calls with him could be done as a split screen thing like they used to do on "Lizzie McGuire."

Sandra Oh as Dr. Quigley Kim, an entomologist (bug scientist).



She's very energetic, and a bit scatterbrained. She's the one who hired Nancy as an assistant to help with a major scientific breakthrough.

Dwayne Johnson as Big Island Mike Mapu, a resort owner.



He's being investigated by the Hardy Boys for shady business deals. It turns out, he and Pua have been trying to sabotage the Hilihili Research Center because their facility is on his late aunt's land, which he felt should've gone to him.

Auli'i Cravalho as Pua Mapu, Mike's daughter.



She's the surf instructor at the resort.

John Noble as Dr. Malachi Craven, one of the lead scientists as the Hilihili Research Center.



He has serious anger management issues, and took out some of his frustration with his feud with Dr. Kim on her campsite.

Matthew McConaughey as Richard Aikens, the man who hired Frank and Joe to look into Big Island Mike's shady deals.

Hugo Weaving as Johnny Kuto, one of Big Island Mike's associates who was helping with the sabotage. He's also the one who hit Joe over the head with the traditional mask for getting too close to finding out about the sabotage.

Christopher Walken as Davey the Pawnbroker. He was fencing the chemicals Big Island Mike was using to sabotage the Hilihili.

Kirsten Storms as Dr. Kim's receptionist. Nancy ends up talking to her when trying to call Dr. Kim about the trashed campsite, while Dr. Kim was out in the field with her phone off.
