Dreamcasting Delaware St. John: Part 2

Jason Dolley as Delaware St. John, a man with psychic powers. His character reminds me of Odd Thomas from the Dean Koontz books. He finds a lost town in an atlas and decides to investigate there. It turns out, he used to live in the abandoned orphanage as a boy, back before the town disappeared.

Alexis Bledel as Kelly Bradford, a bookstore owner and Delaware's partner in crime. She's not psychic.

She'd probably have to dye her hair blond.

Dee Bradley Baker as The Hunter, a demon that's been following Delaware between cases.

Dee seems like a really good choice for the voice-over role, since he's known for doing good animal voices, like Appa and Momo in "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and Perry the Platypus in "Phineas and Ferb."

And I then changed my mind to Nicholas Briggs as The Hunter.

Bill Murray as the ghost of Charles Epps, the owner of the town's movie theater. His parents founded the town as a religious utopia. He inherited their strong religious views. It turns out, he murdered Josh and Jenny for having an at-work relationship at the movie theater, which was against his strict rules.

Will Poulter as Simon Foss, a friend of Delaware and Kelly, and their research assistant.

Drake Bell as the ghost of Josh Martin, who worked at the movie theater. He was fired for dating Jenny. It turns out, he was a trapped spirit because he and Jenny were murdered by Charles.

Troian Bellisario as the ghost of Jenny Miller, a girl that lived in the town and worked in the diner. She dated Josh. It turns out, she was a trapped spirit because she and Josh were murdered by Charles.

Amber Riley as the ghost of Barbara Hartwell, who worked at the movie theater. It turns out, she was a trapped spirit because her family was threatened because she witnessed Charles killing Josh and Jenny.

Amy Poehler as the ghost of Mother Helena Epps, Charles' sister. She was a nun and ran the local orphanage. It turns out, she used some of the orphans as sacrifices to The Hunter and another demon, The Destroyer. Delaware was supposed to be one of the sacrifices as a boy, but he escaped.

Jasper Harris as the ghost of Tommy Jarvis, one of the kids in the orphanage. He was afraid of getting in trouble for coloring his pictures the wrong way. He got in trouble for reading one of Mother Helena's journals. It turns out, he's a trapped spirit because he was one of Mother Helena's sacrifices.

Elle Fanning as the ghost of Nancy Thompson, one of the kids in the orphanage. She was scared of the dark. It turns out, she's a trapped spirit because she was one of Mother Helena's sacrifices.

Sasha Alexander as the ghost of Sister Grace Evans, a nun at the orphanage that tried to rescue the children from Mother Helena's plan to sacrifice them for the Cleansing.

Cameo appearance.

Amy Adams as the voice of the little girl on the phone in the orphanage kitchen. She's apparently looking for her mom.

Hailee Steinfeld as the ghost of Kirsty Cotton, one of the kids in the orphanage. She used to get in trouble for sneaking around and smoking. It turns out, she's a trapped spirit because she was one of Mother Helena's sacrifices.

Josh Hutcherson as the ghost of Ashley Williams, one of the kids in the orphanage. He was generally scared of Mother Helena. His favorite toy was a stuffed dinosaur. It turns out, he's a trapped spirit because he was one of Mother Helena's sacrifices.

Tim Robbins as the voice of the man on the phone in the orphanage kitchen. He warns Delaware to escape the orphanage.

Voice-over cameo appearance. I may or may not be going for a bit of irony here, based on "The Shawshank Redemption" (wink wink)...

Directed by Steven Spielberg.

Music by Danny Elfman, if they don't use the original game soundtrack. The game's original soundtrack reminded me a bit of some of Danny's movie work.
