" Julie and Randy, are from two different worlds. She is a popular, rich girl from the valley, he is a punk dude, also from the valley. They fall in love, but their friends think that their relationship was gross to the max. The film, was one of the earliest performances by Nicholas Cage, and featured a cameo by the Los Angeles new wave band, The Plimsouls. Valley Girl was released on April 29, 1983, and opened in 442 theaters. In the opening weekend, it grossed $1,856,780 at #4. The final do"

"Pros: Deborah Foreman Nicholas Cage, in a earlier role 80’s Los Angeles, as the back drop. The soundtrack. It’s one of the best, if not most under appreciated comedy films, from the 80’s."

"Rated: R Why it rated: Like I heard this film, totally contains Adult language, Adult situations, violence, and profanity. Gag me with a spoon."

"I first saw Valley Girl back when I was in college and remember really enjoying it, it's a fun 80's teen movie with an early Nicolas Cage performance. Looking forward to the rewatch."

" Director: Martha Coolidge Her 3rd movie My 3rd movie watched from the director A classic 80s rom-com that has been on the list for years and finally found its moment. There is nothing great about it, but it does have an entertaining 80s feel to it and the characters are fun. The story is nothing interesting, it's mainly the overall setting that is the attraction. "First viewing - Nov. 7th I checked out Valley Girl out of curiosity, as I know it's got fans. And it's fine I guess. It feels like a time capsule at this point, very '80s through and through. There are stretches of the film that are little more than shots of various popular locations in California, and between that and the opening sequence in the mall I couldn't help but feel like they were begging me to buy things. As for the story, it's pretty standard I guess. Boy meets girl, but he's not fr"

"20.3. Valitettavan tylsässä kasarileffassa on yksi kovan luokan solvaus: Nicolas Cage seisoskelee leffateatterissa 3D-lasit päässä, kunnes hänelle tullaan puhumaan. -Is this film in 3D? -No, but your face is! Lopussa Cagesta tulee päättäjäisten kuningas, vaikkei hän edes käy koulua, jonka päättäreistä on kyse. Muu leffa on haukotuttavan arvoton tapaus."

“To be honest, I wasn't really sure what to expect from this flick but since I have a weak spot for Nicolas Cage, I thought I might as well check it out. In fact, it was Cage's 2nd movie and his very first leading part. Well, to be honest, I actually ended up with some mixed feelings about the damned thing. I mean, first of all, the plot was rather thin and it was involving such vapid and shallow characters. But, then, on the other hand, I have to admit that the characters were actually quite realistic and the whole thing did feel genuine. I also enjoyed the fact that Nicolas Cage and Deborah Foreman both looked like some average teenagers or young adults and not some like top-models. Still, I thought it was so annoying that Julie dropped Randy just because of peer pressure, especially to g” read more
