Tank Girl is an ADD teen without prozac, a speed junky, and Lori Petty (worst actress ever) wrapped with all the annoying qualities of Steve Urkel and Samuel 'Screech' Powers. Possibly one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

A bad movie

To be honest, it has been a while since I have since this flick so maybe I should give it a second chance but the fact I really despised it the first time around make it rather unlikely that I would waste even more time with this movie. I remember it very well, when it was released, it was really poorly received and the funny thing is that I still went to see it in the movie theater anyway but I c... read more

Pop Culture Phenomenon Films: 90’s (1319 movies items)

" In a future, where water is sparse, a huge company regulates it, and mutants roam the land, only one person is brave enough, crazy enough, and dangerous enough to save the day. And she owns a tank. Based on the British post-apocalyptic comic series of the same name created by Jamie Hewlett and written by Alan Martin that was originally published in Deadline magazine, Tank Girl is a bonkers blend of live action and animated, that was too cool for theatres. Financially unsuccessful, Tank Girl "

"FORMAT: 35mm PRINT QUALITY: ★★★★ NOTES: Very dusty, even dustier for a few seconds of a scene with Sam and Iggy Pop, but the playback is surprisingly, near-perfectly smooth. Changeover cues were drawn over with a white cross. DATE: April 11th 2022 CINEMA: The Prince Charles Cinema LOCATION: West End"

"SCREENING: 35mm DATE: April 11th CINEMA: The Prince Charles Cinema LOCATION: West End NOTE: After finally testing positive for the bug a week ago, I worried that I wasn’t going to make it. Thankfully, my self-isolation and suffering ended just in time to allow me into this screening, and no important plans of mine were cancelled whatsoever."

"8.1 Talalay/Yhdysvallat Tank Girlin katsominen oli brandya juodessa hauskaa ajanvietettä. Jossain toisessa tilanteessa näin äärettömän itsetietoinen elokuva saattaisi ärsyttää. "

"Lori Petty is perfectly cast as Tank Girl, Naomi Watts is perfectly cast as Jet, and Malcolm McDowell is their perfectly cast adversary. The story is well-told and a lot of fun, and so far it’s aged very well. Plus, you get to see Ice-T play a kangaroo, and how often does that happen?"

The future kind of sucks. (423 movies items)

"Reason for the future sucking: Want water? Good luck finding it, because thanks to a comet hitting Earth and no rain for 11 years, and a company ironically called Water and Power, there's none left. Year it takes place: 2033"
