20 years after making ‘Day of the Dead’, George A. Romero was finally back making another zombie flick but, to be honest, I wasn’t expecting much from it. "Re-watch - Dec. 22nd I think the last time I watched this was back when Diary of the Dead was released in theatres, so it's been a while. I still really enjoy the film overall. I like how the zombies are less villains this time around & more sympathetic. All the social commentary still works & holds up, & it's solidly entertaining from start to finish. Some of the CG effects don't hold up so well, but thankfully they're mixed with some practical effects that do work. It's not Romero's best zomb"
