Hitch has his good moments, his bizarre themes (the circus family, the blind democratic good man, the sabotage itself ), a crying ductile Cummings, and an excelletn Norman lloyd inmortalized in his fall forn the Statue. (Excellent his participation in the bonus)

"31.3. 2020 Hitchcock's "Saboteur" is simply a perfect spy thriller. It doesn't have any empty nor meaningless moments but every scene develops the story and the atmosphere. WW2, spies, totalitarianism, democracy, idealism, justice, and injustice are the main themes of the film. The story is based on a classical idea about an innocent man being accused of a crime he didn't commit. The main character is an ordinary working class man who is wrongly accused of murdering his friend. In reality the"

Movies the giraffe watched in 2020: January (29 movies items)

"First viewing - Jan. 19th I knew nothing about Saboteur going into it, and wound up really enjoying it. The cast is especially good, and full of memorable characters. Watching Lane and Cummings play off each other is often a joy, but the supporting characters may be even better. The plot is fairly simple, but had enough surprises along the way that it works very well. It's not great, but I'd gladly sit through it again."
