“'Friday the 13th' may have been panned by critics when first released but since then it is one of the most famous and influential horror films, the franchise containing one of horror's most iconic villains. The film is popular enough to become a franchise and spawn several sequels of varying quality and generally inferior to the one that started it all off.'Jason Takes Manhattan', the seventh sequel and the eight film in the series, is one of the lowest rated 'Friday the 13th' films on IMDb. It's not terrible and not quite as bad as some have said, but it is lacking in a lot of areas. There are merits here. Wh” read more

"First viewing - Jan. 27th Paramount+ Voorhees Thursdays More like Jason takes a slow boat to Manhattan. I know this film is generally considered a weak entry in the franchise, & that's not wrong but I did have more fun with this one than 5 & 7. " Date: 1/13/2021 Viewed: Blu-Ray (Scream Factory) Re-Watch Note: I have looked forward to revisiting this Friday the 13th movie because I remember never liking it when I was younger. As both a kid and teenager, I dislike this movie for not fully taking place in New York City. After revisiting this movie again, it's not that bad. Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan is in the middle ground of Friday the 13th movies in my opinion. It's not terrible or great, just alright. The movie i"

"Don't go to the Big Apple! If the killer gangs don't kill you, then maybe the alligators in the sewer, the hockey masked maniac, or the C.H.U.D.s will. Stay home."
