Alita is a creation from an age of despair. Found by the mysterious Dr. Ido while trolling for cyborg parts, Alita becomes a lethal, dangerous being. She cannot remember who she is, or where she came from. But to Dr. Ido, the truth is all too clear. She is the one being who can break the cycle of death and destruction left behind from Tiphares. But to accomplish her true purpose, she must fight and kill. And that is where Alita's true significance comes to bear. She is an angel from heaven. She is an angel of death.

Movie Forecast 2019 (12 movies items)

"Why do so many of these movies look alike - regardless of whether the lead is male or female? I saw the trailer not that long ago, and I swear it looks like something I've seen before. OK, I'll admit that Rosa Salazar is great to look at. Oh, and it's a Robert Rodriguez film! My message to Robert Rodriguez: Please give us a third Machete movie, damn it!"

Most anticipated films of 2019 (42 movies items)

"I'm often on board for a Robert Rodriguez joint, but holy crap does this look terrible. The CG is astoundingly awful-looking in the trailers, and there's nothing about this film that generates my interest. Add to that a release date in February, and you're guaranteed an ill-advised trainwreck I'll gladly avoid. Coming in February"

Cinema’s longest post-marketing movie delays (41 movies items)

" Trailer debut: December 8th 2017 Original release: July 20th 2018 New release: February 14th 2019 Difference: 210 days Between trailer and release: 434 days Reasons: Was first delayed to December 21st, presumably for extra CG work and remodelling to make the title character less uncanny than she looked in the teaser trailer. The second delay, however, was to avoid the risk of being cannibalised by heavy competition including Aquaman, Bumblebee, Mary Poppins Returns and Welcome to Marwen, delay"
