Alita: Battle Angel update feed
" Note: I had low hopes for this movie and it ends up being way better than expected. As someone who has been a fan for the last two decades, the movie did a good job of feeling faithful to anime/manga and was entertaining. You care about the characters and the development for Alita was really good too. "
"20.8 Script lets it down in some areas but a pretty epic film nonetheless with great visuals, acting and would def recommend. Sequel needed."
"Going a hundred miles per hour every moment in a CGI blockbuster, having a very good PG-13 F-bomb and Christoph Waltz running around with the dumbest anime hammer is a recipe for success. Apparently. Huh. "
"Hugo is back(?!) in the much lighter and less sensical sequel, set in a completely different and more contemporary city, a coming-of-age story rather than an action tentpole where Alita gets to kill all that is evil. I was unbearably tired during this screening and kept having to take breaks throughout. So much for all the petitions."
“First I was avoiding this movie like the plague, I saw the trailer in the theatre and thought nothing of it. Then my dad mentioned it to me that he watched it and how good it was. SO I watched it with my husband and I. I have to say these things (no spoilers).
1) OMG it's so good! I couldn't believe I was going to miss out!!!
2) Did you know it's based on an anime?
3) the characters, story line is amazing

"2019-03-09 @AMC Portage 10 Theater 3, seat E5 via A-List Action packed with great merger of animation and real life. Only real complaint is that it just kinda ended after a large build up."
