I finally got to see this masterpiece. It deserves all the praise it gets for sure.

This movie is just as good with multiple viewings. I'll never be able to watch another movie about Lincoln without comparing it to this one.

I was bored out of my brains watching this one. That might be acceptable for a low-budget arthouse drama, but it's UN-acceptable for a horror-thriller of all things.

Not bad, but not great. More of a psychological look into the collapse of society (due to a zombie plague) than a gore-fest of People vs. Zombies.

I think Tarantino is overrated (still), but I have to admit that this was a pretty good movie. Django needed more dialogue in my opinion.

Why is this movie rated so highly? It's an average horror-thriller with bad acting and a boring, predictable plot twist at the end.

This movie is not really meant to "entertain," as most mainstream movies are - that much is clear by the latter 1/3 of the movie. Instead, this movie really makes you think.

Wow! I despise Westerns but loved this one, which goes to show you its positives (incredible characterization and acting) far outweighed my general distaste for Westerns.

Not bad for PG-13 horror. The ending was extremely disappointing, however, and they overused the CGI.

I love cheesy 80s horror movies, and TerrorVision is an under-appreciated gem in the genre. I laughed throughout.

The Pact (2012)
Watched 1/31/13

I really don't understand why this is rated so low. It does nothing revolutionary, sure, but it's a refreshing breath of fresh air in horror/thrillers. The protagonist is actually intelligent and likeable.

Whoa. This movie is...uh...intense. Frank is definitely scarier than the Cenobites, although that thing that hangs from the ceiling is definitely nightmarish. Great special effects are in this, too.

I LOVED this. Entertaining fluff that really hit all the right notes with me. The book is much better (books usually are), but this was a pretty good adaptation of the zombie-romantic-comedy.

This Nazi zombies movie has almost no plot and character development, but I give it this rating for pretty good effects and great comedic timing.

I know it's a horror classic and all...but it wasn't as great as I was lead to believe. The really good parts of the film weren't enough to get rid of the overall "meh" feeling.

Just thinking about this movie makes me giggle. It's a low-budget knockoff of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, sure, but the effects and acting aren't THAT bad. At least it's entertaining!

This movie was....pretty bad. I like low budget zombie movies, but there's just no excuse for awful acting and a dumb plot that takes itself way too seriously.

Fairly average 80s-style action flick. It actually didn't use a lot of genre cliches, which I appreciated. This is a good one for the Stallone fans.

I thought about watching it for the lulz (seriously, just look at the name of this movie), but realized it might be awesome due to Kurt Russell and John Carpenter. After watching it, I can say it turned out to be pretty good.

At the end of the day, this is still a romantic comedy, complete with a cliche rom-com ending. However...the characters are compelling enough to make this movie quite good.

So average, they should have not made it a "Die Hard" movie. They tried way too hard to have a plot twist on top of plot twists.

A long scene of people talking, then a short burst of violence. Then another long scene of people talking, then a short burst of violence. Rinse and repeat. Having said that, this movie is awesome but doesn't have much replay value.

SUPER low-budget indie flick that's very self-aware of its (somewhat) bad acting, plain sets, and low budget. The ending may be somewhat predictable but the journey to get there is quite good.

Um, whoa. This movie is 15-20 minutes of setup and about 1.5 hours of nonstop action and tension. Sometimes, all you need is that initial plot set up then you can turn off your brain, sit back, and enjoy!

A "really good" sci-fi flick. Not great, not groundbreaking, but I left the theater feeling satisfied. I wish sci-fi movies with better plots (i.e. Moon) had the special effects budget of this movie.

Gadgets, explosions, and Iron Man being his snarky self. A rather good attempt at closing this trilogy, and it makes me want to see more from this franchise.

The first 30-45 minutes are butchered by the director's monstrous ego and placement of illogical music, scenery, and acting. The latter 2 hours are actually quite brilliant.

A competent attempt at adapting the book, I guess. They put in all the kissing scenes without adding any character development or realizing that none of the actors have chemistry with each other whatsoever...

A very, very good movie but not a modern masterpiece as some are calling it. Yeah, it subverts a lot of horror genre cliches but at the same time falls prey to the same tropes it is supposed to be parodying.

A documentary-style horror film that's actually very believable for the first half. The encounters with the ghostly apparitions weren't anything super special, though.

Fairly average sequel that still manages some scares. Definitely recommended, though, if you liked the first one due to the continuation of the overall story.

This movie wasn't really at all what I was expecting. I blame the Stephen King source material, which is actually quite good as his horror works are actually about something and have a point.

A very "meh" kind of documentary-style horror film that had enough creepy moments to keep me interested. I liked how the "dramatization" was often side by side the "real" movie footage segments.
