I already saw this movie but, since it was a while back, I thought I might as well check it out again. The first time around, ever since I had heard about this movie, I became intrigued and when it won finally the Best Picture Academy Award, I became even more interested. Let’s all just take a breath and a step back and actually look at Argo for a minute. Is it a bad movie? Not by a mile. In fact, it’s probably one of the better mainstream films to come out in 2012. But is it the awards-worthy juggernaut that it looks to become in the coming weeks? God, no! Nomination it for Best Picture all you want, but don’t give it the damn thing.

"First viewing - June 5th I decided to have a Ben Affleck as director double feature on this Saturday night, and wound up having a pretty good time with Argo. The story is quite fascinating and the cast and crew are firing on all cylinders here. I was really amped up during the final stretch of the film, which tells you they did a great job of making me care about the characters and what they went through. I'm so glad I finally caught up with this film, and I'd gladly watch it again some time."
