" This wasn't what I was expecting, in ways both good and bad. It's a much more restrained effort than one would guess, which is a rarity among the jumpscare-laden supernatural horror films of today. It's rather slow-moving, which is good when the scares come into play, most being more reliant on disquieting imagery than loud music cues, but it's not so good when focusing on the cliched, underwritten characters.
