"If it looks like shit, and it sounds like shit, then it must be shit."

I loved this movie! The cast was amazing, and the story was first-rate. This movie is another reason why P.T. Anderson is one of the best directors working today and I don't think I could've ended the year with a movie better than this one.

"With the television gone, you can stop watching races and get on with your life."
"I have a life?"

This wasn't that good of a movie. The animation was very good, but the characters weren't too likable and the humor was mostly lacking. Kids will really enjoy this movie, but adults probably won't find too much to like about this movie.

"A 50 foot shark. You ever seen one?"
"No."
"Doesn't mean there aren't any."

This was a very underrated movie. It had a very good premise and great performances from Ben Kingsley and Aaron Eckhart. Although I liked this movie alot, I can't say I'm too surprised by the low ratings.

This is one of the worst comedies I've ever seen. Nothing about it was funny and most of the jokes seemed to rely on prison rape. TRANSFORMERS 2 IS A COMEDIC MASTERPIECE COMPARED TO THIS SHIT!!!!!!!!

"Frankly, Scarlett, I don't give a damn."

I thought this movie was just OK. I thought this was mostly a generic murder mystery starring the characters from the board game. Tim Curry and Christopher Lloyd delivered very good performances, but the rest of the acting wasn't that impressive. As for the humor in this movie it's mildly funny but there aren't too many laugh-worthy jokes. This was just an OK murder mystery film that didn't have too much to offer.

"So, they believe that this Godzilla is responsible for all the ship disasters?"
"They're certain of it!"

While this americanized version of Gojira isn't as good as the original, it is still a very entertaining movie and is a must-see for any Godzilla fan.

"I'm Officer Omar Coleman. I'm your parole officer."
"I'm Ned Rochlin. Why are you talking so slow?"
"I just figured, looking at your sheet, that since you sold grass to a uniformed police officer that you must be retarded."
"Yeah, I get that a lot."

While I'm not a fan of Paul Rudd in leading roles, this is one those rare movies where he actually pulls it off. The character he plays is much different from the same characters he usually plays. This movie made me laugh out loud a few times and it had some drama which also worked.

I needed to watch something after attempting to watch Trade. This was a very good revenge movie, but not the best of it's kind. It's still well-made and entertaining, just didn't leave a huge impression on me.

Fuck this movie! Everthing about this movie either pisses me off or bores me to tears. It's filled with poorly written dialogue and no characters to care for. What is also annoying about this "film" is that one minute it's a movie with subtitles and the next minute it's one without subtitles. 40 minutes into the movie I did not give any fucks on what happened next, so I just stopped watching it. I did have a bad cold when I watched it, so I did a test to see if that had anything to do with it, but nope! The movie just fucking sucks. My last complaint with this movie is that on Netflix, it showed Kevin Kline as the leading star, but from what I saw he wasn't in much of it and that's the reason it was in my queue in the first place.

"No waving and smiling this time. I want you to look straight ahead as if the audience and this whole event are beneath you."
"That should be easy."

This movie was even better than the first one. While I thought the first movie started off slow, this one had me sold right away. The characters have much better development and the movie is filled with great dialogue and amazing visuals. If you were one of those people that was disappointed with the first movie then you might be impressed with this sequel.

"I am nothing special; just a common man with common thoughts, and I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten. But in one respect I have succeeded as gloriously as anyone who's ever lived: I've loved another with all my heart and soul; and to me, this has always been enough."

From the opening scene to the end of this movie, I was truly amazed. I'm all for a good romance movie if they are done well and this is an amazing love story. While every scene in this movie is great, my favorite ones have to be the ones involving James Garner. After seeing this, I can definitely see why it's so highly rated.

"All that I ask is that you do each and every little thing that pops into my head, while I enjoy the enormous fortune your parents left behind."

I had not seen this movie since it came out on DVD, so I knew I would have to revisit it sometime. This was much better than I remembered it. I don't really like family movies because they don't take kids as a serious audience, but this one does the opposite, This movie was creative, had a pretty good cast and was pretty dark at times which is refreshing from all the sickly sweet kids films we get today. It's not without it's flaws, but this movie has great storytelling and had some good comic relief which is something this movie needs at times.

"What a man needs out here is a CB radio."

"Course, if you use a CB, you gotta have a handle. I'm thinking for you, "Shit For Brains."

"Survival is not about certain death. It's about keeping your head down."
"Days ago I was with my family, in my home. Now you're telling me all that's lost? Tell no one who I am, that's the way to survive? Well, I don't want to survive. I want to live."

This was an amazing movie. Out of all the movies about slavery, this one tackled that subject matter the best. I'm usually strong when it comes to violence in movies, but some of the violence in this film made me cringe quite a bit. It also had some touching scenes and it also made me think about slavery and wondering why people did it. The way they ended this movie was beyond perfect. When the movie ended, people were silent until they left the theatre room which shows how powerful this movie is. This movie will stay in my mind for a very long time and I will have to check out Steve McQueen's other work.

"There are fierce powers at work in the world, boys. Good, evil, poor luck, best luck. As men, we've got to take advantage where we can."

This was unexpectedly a very good movie. It had well-written dialogue and very strong performances from the kids in this movie. As for Matthew McConaughey, his performance didn't leave much of an impression on me until the second half of the film. The dialogue he was given was good, but for the most part his performance didn't do much for me. It is still a very well-done movie with great storytelling.

"What is this?"
"It's called "Mind Rape", it's actually pretty mellow.
It doesn't sound very mellow."
"Well he only had three other batches: "Gorilla Panic", "They're coming! They're coming!" and something called "This Is Permanent"... Go on, spark it up!"

This was just as hilarious as when I saw it in theatres. I still think the conflict in the middle was uninspired, but I didn't come into this movie for anything other than a good laugh. The only real problem I have with this movie is the Tom Skeritt joke. While it was mildly amusing, it mostly falls flat on it's face and I can't see most people finding it funny. If you're going to watch this movie, then you're probably better off watching the theatrical version, because the unrated version barely added anything to the movie. Just extended the scenes a little bit.

This was an awesome movie. This movie is what you get when you put Quentin Tarantino, Guy Ritchie, and Robert Rodriguez's movies in a blender. It had awesome action, hilarious moments and a very good cast. Even Ben Affleck did a good job in this movie. This was a great movie that has everything.

This is the first PT Anderson movie I've seen and this was a great one to start with. I really love seeing Adam Sandler as a serious actor and it sucks that his serious movies don't do well in theatres. So we probably won't be seeing anymore of them which means we're stuck with shit like Grown Ups 2. (That movie was so awful that I didn't even bother to add it to this list.)

This was a very cool movie. It had a pretty original idea for an action movie and it's one of those rare movies that action fans and non-action fans can enjoy. If I had a complaint it would be that Nicolas Cage was very miscast.

This was a good movie. What really made this movie was Denzel Washington's performance. He did an amazing job playing a corrupt policeman and this is coming from someone who isn't a huge fan of him. This is not the great film everyone says it is, but I can see why this movie was critically acclaimed.

OK, it's obvious that they weren't going to top Predator, but is this the best they can come up with? While Predator was an awesome action film, this was an average one with too much action. Don't get me wrong this movie is entertaining, but that's it. The character development is weak and it is just your standard action film that just happens to have The Predator in it. That scene near the end was cool though.

"Heh heh. You hit like a vegetarian!"

The idea of Arnold and Sylvester Stallone in the same film was an amazing idea. Sure they shared some screen time in The Expendables 2, but they're the two leading roles in this movie. I was actually expecting it to be ruined because of 50 Cent, but guess what? His performance didn't suck!!! This movie doesn't have any action in the beginning, but the build-up to this movie is brilliant. It starts of as a well-done prison film, but near the end it's non-stop action that fans of 80's action fans will love. While The Expendables 2 was a cool tribute to the genre, this is the better movie due to the action at the end and the very cool twists and turns.

"Destiny is something we've invented because we can't stand the fact that everything that happens is accidental."

I was honestly expecting this to be a good film because it had the same screenwriter from When Harry Met Sally which I really liked. While it is more intelligent than your standard rom-com, I just found it boring. For a romantic-comedy I did find it funny at certain times, but I didn't find it romantic and I thought the drama was extremely sentimental. Tom Hanks still manages to give a very good performance, but this is just another one of his turkeys.

As a person who has a passion for filmmaking, I really enjoyed this movie. It was funny, it had good acting and they really pulled off the movie in a movie thing very well. I was also really impressed with Peter Dinklage's acting considering that this was his first movie.

Update: I didn't want to end the month on an awful note, so instead of watching a horror movie I felt like ending the month with this. Even though my rating hasn't changed, I got more out of this movie than I did last time. I had the opportunity to go see this in theatres as a school field trip, so I decided to accept it because I heard many good things about it and because it was high on my anticipated movies list of this year. When the projector screen turned on there were no commercials or previews. It was just the Cineplex intro and after that the movie started right away. This is the best movie of 2013 and that's coming from a year that wasn't the best for movies. Visually this movie was amazing and so was everything else. This is the only good performance I've seen from Sandra Bullock. This is the movie you have to see in theatres. The picture, the sound and the 3D (Which was worth it.) is best when experienced at the theatres.

Well, this was surprisingly a good sequel. I thought the first one was stupid and took itself too seriously. This movie actually proved to me that a movie about a killer doll can actually be good. I also thought the kid from the first movie gave a better performance than he did in the first one. It still has some problems, but it was an entertaining slasher movie which is what the first one should've been.
