Enhanced Vs. Ordinary
It seems to have already started.

The irony is that Ethan Hawke looks like he is enhanced.

The Time Machine (1960)
Split Into Two Species
Of course, I refer to humanity in the future splitting into two species called the Eloi and the Morlocks.

It looks like we are slowly evolving into different types of humans already.

The Terminator (1984)
Destroyed By Our Own Technology
Not only have we become too dependent on technology, the gadgets are not always reliable. You probably have experienced computers seeming to have minds of their own. I myself have experienced GPS machines being unreliable. Humanity being destroyed by its own technology seems pretty likely.

The Siege (1998)
Post 9/11 Reactions
While the reactions to 9/11 were not exactly like what happened in the Siege, you have to admit that there were similarities between the Siege and real life.

Machete (2010)
The Border Wall
Donald Trump wasn't the first one to suggest a great wall on the US-Mexico border. In Machete, the villains - one being a right-wing xenophobic candidate - plot to have a US-Mexico wall built. It turns out that the wall was to be financed by the Torrez drug cartel and designed to keep the undocumented out, but give Torrez a monopoly on the drug trade.

It would not surprise me at all if that were also the case with Donald Trump's wall idea.

Idiocracy (2006)
A Dumbed Down U.S.A.
Admit it, you knew this one was coming! Of course, the dumbing down of the U.S.A. is nothing new. It was already happening when I was a teenager in the late 1980's.
