Awesome animations

Why of all the Disney movies, when i sat down for this list, this movie came to my mind first? I dont know but then this movie is captivating and very very visually appealing.
animation is great, story is really cool and characters are so cleverly made. you will surely fall for it even if you are not a fan of anime.

do you know what makes movie great? "magical moments" yes ones that make your heart feel something that is why people love taxi driver, pulp fiction, and i guess tangled.

this movie has its really great magical moments like in the start when howl is flying her to her home, I really really wanted to be her!

Grave of fireflies tell you a story of a brother and a sister who are surviving through a war. It's a very heart warming story and you can't help it but to cry in the end.

You have to watch it to feel this movie and no it's not your typical anime movie.

This is the highest rated anime film out in the world. It also won an oscar and the animation, visuals, story telling and story is really great and engaging.

Even if you are not fond of anime, you still have to watch this movie.

ok Let me be frank, this movie's story did NOT make any sense to me. If it has made one to you, please do tell me. This movie though has a story issue yet I liked it because of its animation. the visuals are great. Hats off to animators for animating whole sea for us. You will see huge fish moving in the sea and its absolutely eye candy.

So because of that, I recommend it to every one. :)

Everyone can relate to this movie frankly since we all hit cross road during high school, when we want to decide what we are going to do with our life.
I liked the movie, it is very subtle, very smooth and watch out for music scene. It just made me go all emotional.

This I believe was the first venture of studio Ghibli and its nearly 3 decade old but when I was watching it I was thinking how on earth did they do those visuals and effects back in that time?
The story is great I even liked it more than spirited away's story. The visuals as I stated above are outstanding. If you havn't seen it, please do. :)

This is sole pleasure movie. Sotry wise there isn't much to talk about, but its the moments in the movie and the way things progress that make you love it and feel it the way characters feel. It's so charmingly beautiful. I was in love with this movie in first 10 mins.
Can't praise it more. :)

This was unexpectedly GREAT!
visually and story wise both! knowing how hard it is to draw 2D, i was like :O in the start! wow

Mulan 2 was bit of a disappointment, so i dont recommend that. even my little sister disliked it.

CLASSIC CLASSIC CLASSIC! one of those movies which you have to see because if you dont, whats the point of being an animation lover! :P

you know its funny, there is a scene is first 10 mins of the movie where he goes up and his hair moves in such awesome way, that i kept on rewinding to see them move again and again, lol but then who hasn't done such things! lol

imagine 42 degrees (C) outside and you are sitting a class with a split, very cool temperature, and watching this movie in class on projector with lights off!
me and my 14 other class fellows watched this movie in our 2d animation class and we were all the time smiling and laughing! Kuzko love ya!

note: its 2nd part kronk's new groove is a huge disappointment.so again i wont recommend that to anyone.

you might think it was not that great but we were told about its production and we were like wow!
apparently one animator, an old guy made videos of himself as princess to make animation so true and he succeeded. he told a reporter "if you have seen me as princess you wouldnt kiss" lol

Again watched this in 2d class, really liked it a lot!
its amazing how when you watch movies with your teachers, you get to know characters more, may be its because they hit space bar too much to say, look at the walk, look at the expression lol

I think it is underrated somehow!
its animation is discney classic animation, so flow-ey, so what can i say awesome!

a total different approach on animation style than anime and disney style so give it a go! the real awesome thing about it is that it has minimal dialogues and emotions are so top notch!

Kung fu Panda was AWESOME. It was epic so naturally you have higher expectations from the second movie but here is what happened.
This part 2 has a lot more going on than the first part so where we had a first part with great moments, funny dialogues and just plain fun scenes, now we have little fun moments, not so funny dialogues and lots of back ground stories to original story so though it had it all, it lost its soul somewhere in between. :(
My borther watched Kung fu Panda 5 times in cinema and this time I had to ask him 3 times to go watch kung fu panda 2 with me in cinema (my first time his 2nd) he refused.
oh but its not all bad in fact, animation is superb. They also experimented mixing it with other type of animation medium and it worked brilliantly. The last scenes are amazing.
so over all, I'd still would like to recommend it to people :)

I can't believe I am giving it a 7, I thought it would be like 9 star movie, but man it was boring!

May be I have yet to see lots of west movies to understand this humor but then what's the point of this movie if referencing is required.

Texturing: AWESOME, Lighting: way too perfect, Visual effects: too cool and mind blowing but story: nah its fine.

We were discussing it in our class too and none of my class fellows liked it, we were all like watch it for texturing only!

Rio is here because it has a very simple story (even cliched) but has a soul to it (people might disagree with me here) but I enjoyed it and laughed at it.
The scenery is amazing, they created whole Rio in 3d so wow! There is some very awesome action going on it too and yes the Jamoe Foxx song is awesome :)

animation: awesome
visuals: simply breath taking

but

story: very cliched, script could be tighter, little humor could do something in there and characters could have progressed more

so yes it is boring and not as much as fun as one can anticipate but since the list title says, awesome animations so it has to be here because WOW, it looks AWESOME.

British humor is awesome!
This is such a nice movie and so funny. Do watch for the signs in background while watching it, they are so funny.
