Amazing Accenteers

The majority of his fans don't even know that he comes from Wales and speaks with a British accent. This is mostly due to the fact that he stays in character for most of his interviews as well.

I'f you're a Bale fan, you've probably heard him do any number of regional variations on a British accent, as well as a perfect Midwestern American one, some perty little Texas speak, a convincing Greek, and a gritty New York accent that makes me want to grind my teeth.

OK, if you've seen him in any of his English speaking roles, his accent doesn't vary quite as much, but if you're a Spanish speaker, this guy is amazing.

He bounces from Chilango, to Argentine, to Spanish (Castellano) and back again with ease, and makes every single one of them sexy!

I've had trouble believing that this guy is actually from England! To tell the truth, I've heard him speak with and American and a Spanish accent more than his actualy English one. He's played an Arab, a Mexican, an American, an Egyptian, a Spaniard, a Frenchman, and a Russian, and those are just the ones I've seen! now I can't admit to a perfect ear for accents, but every last one of them were enough to convince me.

OK, mostly for the half drunken pirate, let's face it.

Viggo makes my list not only for the ability to successfully pull of a passible Russian accent for his roll in "Eastern Promises," but he get a massive amount of credit for his ability to film the movie "Alatriste" entirely in Castilian Spanish with amazingly passible results.

His Boston accent is convincing, but what puts him on this list is that beautiful South African gem that he pulls off in Blood Diamond.

Hotel Rwanda. Wow.

From what I've seen of her films, she's got a pretty impressive Australian (though technically she's from there, so I'm not sure if that would be faking and accent), Southern USA, and not too bad of a Russian one either!

Added mostly for her ability to speak fluent enough French to appear in French films. My mouth dropped when she appeared in A Very Long Engagement...and carried her weight! Of course it closed in disgust when I actually saw what her role entailed.

Last King of Scotland. His Idi Amin made me hate him for two hours!

I keep having to play my friends his part in The Man in the Iron Mask to convince tham that Dr. House is really English!

OK, not a big fan of his forced semi-native accent in Last of the Mohicans, but everything else since then has been impressive.

She does an pretty convincing English accent, and I've got to respect the ones who can speak other languages. This one speaks some fair Spanish.

OK, people may disagree on this one, but I enjoy Brigett Jones Diary. She may not be the best actress, and her face may remind you of someone perpetually staring into the son, but her accent convinced me for a moment.
