Harry Potter



Description: Lightning shaped scar on forehead.

How: The scar is from a killing curse that somehow didn't work, backfired, and "killed" the creator of said spell, the villain of the entire series, Voldemort.

The Joker



Location: Both sides of his mouth...in the terrifying position that you can imagine exactly what had to happen to create them.

How: We never really discover that for certain. The Joker has some serious reality issues and so he tells different tales on different occasions. The official story is that he fell in a vat of chemicals. His own stories in this particular film are that his father did it to him, and that he did it to himself to make hiw wife feel better.

Aldo Raine



Location: across the throat

How: Perhaps only Tarantino can tell you that one, as it was his intention to leave it as a mystery.

Random Nazis



Location: the forehead of any Nazi or German soldier with the misfortune of running into the Basterds.

How: A big ugly knife weilded by one of the Basterds. they mark all of the Nazies they allow to live to be able to humiliate them and recognize them for life.

Freddy Krueger



Location: We're just going to go ahead and assume that he's scarred like that all over.

How: Freddy was a child abductor and murderer who was lynched by a mob of angry parents, trapped in a building, and burned alive.

Iñigo Montoya



Location: Two slash marks. One on each cheek.

How: He lost a duel with the six-fingered man who killed his father. Montoya was left alive, but given the scars as a reminder.

Justin McLeod



Location: The entire right (that's his right) side of his face

How: He was involved in a car accident which resulted in a fire. A young boy was also killed in the fire.

Harlen Maguire



Location: Several small scars across the left side of his face.

How: From glass shrapnel when he tried to escape a bullet by hiding behind glass.

Mason Verger



Location: His face...yeah, all of it.

How: Completely justified, in my humble opinion. High on a cocktail of PCP crystal meth and LSD, Mason (a particularly terrible child molester) is convinced by Hannibal Lector to cut of his own face with a piece of glass, feed the majoirty of it to the dogs, and eat his own nose.

Tony Montana



Location: around left (his left) eye and cheek

How: He claims that he got it in an accident as a child.

Le Chiffre



Location: vertical slash across left eye

How: Le Chiffre has the weeping blood disease, a disease that causes random bleeds. The scar is from a burst blood vessel near his eye.

Amsterdam Vallon



Location: triangular brand on right cheek

How: The Butcher (Daniel Day Lewis) brands Amsterdam on the cheek with a white hot knife after Vallon fails at an attempt to kill him.

Frankenstein



Location: he's pieces of corpses. Everywhere...and we mean everywhere!

How: A lot of people died. A lot of people were dug up. A lot of pieces were sewn together. I believe there was lightning involved at some point.

Alec Trevelyan



Location: Across right cheek.

How: Burned while serving as a member of the British Secret service when James Bond shortens the explosive timers to complete a mission.

Latika



Location: Down her left cheekbone.

How: She is slashed with a knife by Javed's men as he recaptures her. Jamal kisses it away.

Quint



Location: missing a tooth, scar on forehead, scar on right calf, and one on the left forearm.

How: no explanation for the tooth. The forehead is from a fight on St. Patrick's Day. Scar on leg is from a thresher shark. The one on his arm is a tatoo that he had removed.

Hooper



Location: scar on left forearm and on right leg.

How: scar on arm is from a Moray eel that bit through his wetsuit. Scar on leg is from a bull shark that scraped him while he was taking samples.

Drexl Spivey



Location: Below left eye and extending into left eye.

How: Not quite sure. Haven't seen this one. Any ideas?

Sgt. Barnes



Location: Prominent all over face, but more centered around the chin.

How: We never get the back story to this one, but judging by the fact that he is a VERY angry war worn sargeant in the middle of the Vietnam war, I'm going to guess that it had something to do with warfare.

Scar



Location: Vertically across left eye.

How: Another one without explanation, but they are lions! It's pretty safe to assume that paws and teeth...and perhaps sibling rivalry...were involved.

Del Spooner



Location: Line running all around his left arm and shoulder indicating a total replacement of that limb.

How: He was involved in a car accident in which his car and another ended up in the river. A robot pulled him out and saved his life, leaving a little girl to die in the other car, feuling his hatred of robots. His entire left arm was replaced with a cybernetic one.

Polly "Torch" Clark



Location: her entire face and a good portion of the rest of her body.

How: She set herself on fire.

Kakihara



Location: All across his face and across both cheeks, slitting them open and having to be held shut by piercings. Also...the tongue is pretty much gone.

How: The bastard did it to himself!

Nicolai



Location: Several scars all over his body, the most noticable of which is a scar on just below his left eye, and the largest of which are on his back and arms.

How: A quite strange assassination attempt involving bilhooks, and a lot of nude fighting.

The Sheriff of Nottingham



Location: Slash mark across left cheek bone.

How: Slashed in a play of swords with Robin Hood.

Eugene Simonet



Location: All over his face and extending down his neck.

How: His father poured gas over him when he was 16 and lit a match.

Colonel Miles Quaritch



Location: Three slash marks running from his right cheek to the back of his head.

How: A "gift" given to him by the natives on his first day on the planet Pandora. He had the options of having it removed, but chose to keep it as a reminder of what can happen at any time.

King Leonidas



Location: Running vertically over his left eye.

How: Given the minor flaw of the couple of arrows that are sticking out of vitals organs as well, we're going to call this one a random war wound.

Andrew Laeddis



Location: Running diagonally down his face from his right temple, across the bridge of the nose, to his left jaw line.

How: Considering the fact that Laeddis is only a figment of Teddy's imagination, we'll leave it up to the imagination as to how he got the scar.

Ernst Stavro Blofeld



Location: Vertically down right cheek, distorting features including the right eye.

How: Please correct me if I'm wrong here because I personally despise all James Bond films, but as far as I can tell, it is only classified as a dueling scar, possibly from Mensur fencing.

Dr. Evil and Mini-me





Location: Vertically from right eye down to right jaw line.

How: Again not known, though it could have occured during the car accident that separated him from his brother, Austin Powers, or when he was "placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds."

Private Trip



Location:Several severe slashes across his back.

How: A lifetime of being punished and whipped as a slave.

Chris Vaughn



Location: Large scars extending vertically down the front of his chest.

How: Carved into his chest by casino henchmen when he and his friends demanded fair treatment in the town casino.

Cody Zamora



Location: Several horizontal scars across her back.

How: Years of serving as personal whore to the outlaw, Kid Jarrett.

Bonnie



Location: What appear to be burns all across her back.

How: All we know is that they are burns.
