I doubted everyone when they said this movie was amazing. I was so wrong! It's fantastic! I sad-cried and happy-cried and belly-laughed. Not in that order.
It was also cute and romantic, and wholesome in a way not many movies can pull off.

Anything with James Stewart. I loved Liberty in this movie too. And, bonus, my first John Wayne film!
(I'm really behind on my westerns)

I haven't seen the original yet, or read the novel. This was good though. I think it could have been more satisfying/happy, but it would have been less realistic.

So glad I didn't see it with my family. :) It was scary and beautiful and sexy, some of it hard to watch, and a lot of it leaving me wanting more. Good to the very end.

Lol, Billy Zane. The first time I saw him in a movie it was Zoolander, so I couldn't take him too seriously at first. The movie turned out alright, a little mediocre but with a few scares. I thought his love interest was annoying.

I don't usually like romcoms, but this was so cute! Paul Rudd made me fall in love with him all over again. Owen Wilson was his usual goofy self. Reese Witherspoon is adorable and quirky, and Jack Nicholson is... well, creepy as usual, but it worked really well. I laughed a lot, and there were a lot of those "Awwww" moments too.

I heard that I shouldn't judge Pattinson just on Twilight. Not that I hate Twilight, it was okay. But it was interesting to see him in something else. I was gonna just wait for Water for Elephants to come out, but I saw this on IW. It was my first venture into films about the lives of artists, which have become a favorite of mine. It was great; it felt authentic and I loved the use of multiple languages, something which is underused in films here in America. Pattinson and Beltran were both fantastic and I felt emotionally connected to the plot.

I crave movies with animation/live action combo so of course I had to watch Cool World, even though I haven't heard much about it. It was meh. Brad Pitt was hot, of course, but nothing about any of the acting really spoke to me. The cartoons were crude and vulgar, it was interesting that even the cutsie toons turned violent and strange in Cool World. I did like the contrast of cartoons with the main plot point being, don't have sex with them, haha.

Very good, so veeery good.
This is a movie that somewhere along the line someone told me the ending to before I'd seen it, so I never rushed to rent it. My sister happened to rent it while I was visiting home, and fortunately I got to see it and enjoy the whole thing through. Even though I knew the end the whole movie was shocking and thrilling and probably one of the scariest movies I've seen.

I was expected more, but at least Ryan Gosling was his usual cute self. It felt very... er, processed? Generic?

Does Cam G always play the villain? He's getting to be the same person in every movie. I think he needs to branch out.
I dislike Dennis Quaid, but it was still an okay movie. A few eerie and omg! moments. It has more gore than I expected but less scares. If you really love space horror you'll probably like it.

I loved everything about this movie, even Paris Hilton. I really need to buy it.

If I hadn't been covering my eyes I probably would have thrown up in a couple parts. It was so realistic and gory! I don't have high expectations for most random instant movies I try, but this one exceeded all of them. It wasn't slow, stupid, contrived, cheesy, or garbage in any way. If you like scary movies, watch Altered! Buy it and watch it on the big screen if you can! And bring your friends!

Not what I was expecting. And Cam can play a good guy? Wow! He was so adorable in this movie- I love his little nose scrunch.
Sorta creepy, and that girl was for sure an evil bitch, but not as insane as the previews want you to think. I would definitely have beaten her ass a lot sooner than the main character did.

Best horror movie I've seen so far. It really scared me- I actually screamed a couple times. And at the same time it was funny, but not over the top. Seriously, really great.

Not too bad for a sequel. The climax and resolution were eh and I think they gave the killer away too soon, but it was a good story and still very scary for the most part.

Watched it for Liev Shrieber, was satisfied on that front.
Once of those films you can tell it was made after a novel that spans a long amount of time, but had to be compressed for a film. They did alright; had some spooky stuff here and there.

One of the starriest movies I've ever seen!
If you fear real life threats more than monsters or zombies, this movie might just terrify you. The only thing that kept me sane was that I felt, at two different points, I could have escaped the situation if I had been in their shoes. 1) With the car; I own a big pickup and could have run down any human or fence in my way, without damage. 2) I keep my doors locked to begin with.
This definitely upped my paranoia about neighbors and security.

I hate Adam Sandler, but I love Jennifer Aniston. She was cute and funny as always, he was the same lame guy as always who somehow gets the hot chicks.

It looks like Sandler stares at ladies' breasts whenever he's having a serious conversation with one in this movie, did anyone else notice that?

The Skeleton Key was an average movie with a slightly above average ending.
But I'd watch it again because clean-shaven Peter Sarsgaard is a fox.

(Spoilers)

My resolution for this year: 60 new movies. So far going a lot easier than I planned. I might up it to 100.

Edit: I'm at 55 movies, so I think I can make it to 100 if I keep up the pace! -crosses fingers-

Edit: Success! K-Pax was my 100th movie (I think, I might have gotten the numbers off, but not by much)!

Secondary goal: 1 scary/horror movie every day of October. If I miss a day I have to make it up. I think I can do it!

My sources for movies are Netflix IW and renting, the AMC and Harkins theaters, Walmart $5 bin, and my friend Trevor, who makes me watch scary movies that he rents from his library.
