" Amazon Prime- 1hr 43min. First Viewing The Program tries to cover too much ground, with too little focus. Ben Foster is strong in the lead role, but the there are just too many moving parts around him. The cast is quite strong, but they end up taking up too much time; Foster's coldly unsympathetic performance deserved more time to shine, and more dimension. " Director: Stephen Frears Starring: Ben Foster, Chris O'Dowd, Guillaume Canet, Jesse Plemons, Lee Pace, Denis Ménochet, Dustin Hoffman and Elaine Cassidy An Irish sports journalist becomes convinced that Lance Armstrong's performances during the Tour de France victories are fueled by banned substances. The other interesting thing was the fact that doping seems to be actually really common in this sport, something apparently even inevitable, and you might wonder if you wouldn't find exactly the same issue in any other top sport. Anyway, Lance Armstrong’s story was quite incredible and there was definitely some potential to deliver a very strong movie but, to be honest, I wonder if a documentary wouldn’t have been more eff” read more
