“To be honest, I had no idea what this movie was about so I wasn’t really sure what to expect from the damned thing but since I’m a huge fan of Meryl Streep, I was quite eager to check it out. What makes this movie interesting is that it mixes 2 dramas, a modern one and a period piece, involving somehow the same people but not exactly the same characters. I know, it sounds rather confusing but, if you watch the damned thing, it will definitely make sense. So, the set-up was quite interesting and Meryl Streep and Jeremy Irons (in his first leading part) were both really good here.
