Making such a dark and interesting story palatable without diluting its harsh themes, this is an oddly inspiring, and beautiful movie about parental love and sacrifice, lead by 2 powerful showstopping performances by Jacob Trembley and Brie Larson. One of the greatest films ever made.

Technically innovative, creative, and a marvel to watch, this film marks a return to form for Pixar, who have crafted a beautiful allegory for growing up that refuses to talk down to its audience.

Hypnotizing, ambitious, original, and smart, this is Indie art house filmmaking done to its absolute fullest potential, with a beautifully crafted and dense world that is consistent, filled with sympathetic and fascinating characters, and a haunting atmosphere.

Chaotic and insane in every way shape and form, this is an action thrill ride that feels like one long climax, has unique and memorable moments in nearly every scene, and is masterfully choreographed and staged. Any fan of action needs to see this film.

Though the magic of the first film can't be recaptured, and this film does try to juggle a little too much, Joss Whedon still manages to make one fantastic superhero thrill ride, with incredible action scenes, realistic camaraderie between the heroes, and the best villain the MCU has offered us so far.

It doesn't change a whole lot from the underdog boxing clichรฉs, but the great direction, fantastic performances, especially from Jake Gyllenhaal and mostly great writing, make this a boxing film worth watching.
