Even though I wasn’t sure what to expect from this flick, a Western starring Clint Eastwood is always a treat, so I was really eager to check it out. The fact that it was directed by the great Don Siegel made it even more interesting. Set in Mexico, a nun called Sara is rescued from three cowboys by Hogan, who is on his way to do some reconnaissance for a future mission to capture a French fort. The French are chasing Sara but not for the reasons she tells Hogan, so he decides to help her in return for information about the fort defences. Inevitably the two become good friends but Sara has a secret..

"First viewing - Sept. 3rd Here's another fun pairing...Eastwood and Maclaine are a joy to watch and make this entire film worth sitting through. I thought it was a bit overlong as it ran out of steam at times, but it's totally worth seeing at least once. Also, Ennio Morricone's score is stellar."
