“To be honest, I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this flick but since it was available on Netflix at some point, I thought I might as well check it out. Well, eventually, how much you will enjoy this flick will really depend on how much you will like its concept. Indeed, basically, pretty much like with ‘The Cabin in the Woods’, they went for some kind of meta concept around your typical slasher flicks but, even though the makers probably though it was really original and clever, to be honest, I wasn’t completely convinced. First of all, the beginning was rather awkward. I mean, somehow, they had to manage to get all these characters end up in this vintage slasher flick but the way to get there was rather cumbersome, I’m afraid. Above all, it was a rather awful idea to thin” read more
"Pretty bad, but could definitely be worse! Cinematography was okey, acting as well. It is basically everything you would think of a cheese movie. Only hard to believe it's from 2015. I would say more of a 2008 style. To sum up: Once is enough. Thanks. Next. ♛ ~.K.~ ♛ "
" A bunch of teenagers get sucked into an 80s slasher film and have to team up with the movie characters to get out alive! This was a blast and I recommend it to anyone who loves slashers who also has a sense of humor. If you're missing one or the other, don't bother. It'll go right over your head."
"First viewing - Jan. 9th I've been wanting to see The Final Girls for a while now, and was pleasantly surprised my local library had it. I never saw a trailer, but I know my fellow horror buffs have spoken well of it which kept it on my radar. And so I'm proud to join the ranks of those who watched and enjoyed it. I don't want to say too much about it as going in blind worked well for me. Suffice it to say that if you're a fan of the genre you should find plenty here to admire. I'd gladly watc"
"October 1 "I should have known something was up with this place. I mean think about it. What the hell kind of summer camp has waterbeds?" *demonic voice* You didn't think I was going to forget this year, did you? Let's get it started. So, this is a movie I didn't know much about beyond the premise, but I thought it was pretty good. It's a nice love letter to the slasher films from the 80's that has a ton of creative ideas, a good sense of humor and pokes fun of the tropes in a charming way."
