Oh, thy hated "Observe and Report". I know just two people who thought positively of this one, not including myself. That actually shocks me, even as a pretty strict film critic. "I didn’t care at first for the film, mainly because even though it’s a comedy.... It’s a decidedly bleak, ugly, and mean spirited one. Rewatching, I realize now. That was the whole point. One that I missed out on."
“I wasn't really sure what to expect from this movie but since I have a weak spot for Seth Rogen, I thought I might as well check it out. First of all, to be honest, to make a comedy about a shopping mall security guard was a rather weak idea even if I didn't think that this movie was as bad as many seem to think. Indeed, I usually don't like comedies making fun of some terribly stupid characters (for example, I do think that 'Dumb and Dumber' is easily one of the most overrated movies ever made) but this one turned out to be actually watchable. Of course, some of the jokes were just rather cringe-inducing but some of them were actually quite funny. For example, pretty much all the scene involving Ronnie's mother were just spot-on.
