Very powerful film with solid performances!

Despite, Network being a famous classic, I was unsure whether I would like it at first because I just don't really like those kind of films but the actors and director that were involved with the film made me watch. When I did watch this film, I wasn't disappointed but I was blown away by it! What a powerful film Network turned out to be that I was gripped by all the way through. It was obviously ... read more

Since this movie had a really impressive reputation, I was really eager to watch the damned thing. Eventually, even though it didn't turn out to be one of the best movies I have seen, it was still really strong. What I loved the most was how it started as a really realistic look on how a TV network works and it was easily one of the best, or maybe the very best depiction of this world I have seen ... read more

A fourth-place network is struggling for ratings and turns it's News division over to the entertainment division. As one of the ramifications of this move the news Anchor is fired. He goes on the air with a wonderfully daffy rant and rave session culminating in his insisting that people go to the windows and yell, "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore." His ravings make him an Icon as the need to sell begins to overwhelm everyone touched by the network.

el principal escenario donde se desarrolla la obra es en una cadena televisiva en los estados unidos, donde se presentan noticias de toda índole. " Notes: What I loved the most about this movie was how it started as a really realistic look on how a TV network works and it was easily one of the best, or maybe the very best depiction of this world I have seen so far, but it became so much more. Indeed, they went so much further than that and, slowly, it became something rather insane. " A deeply disturbing prediction of what is happening behind the scenes at TV stations today. It could be seen as a black satire, but feels more like a real-life drama now. It is full of great dialogue and memorable quotes with some strong acting especially from the men and Beatrice Straight has a fantastic scene. All kudos to Faye Dunaway as well for getting away with the Academy Award for a role where all she needed to do was overact and be out-of-sync with the rest of the cast because her char"

"Probably the single most important film in American cinema, Network's document of how capitalism claims as it's tool every form of counter culture and ideological dissent and only silences it when the people who consume it as another form of entertainment move on to something else is genius. How misunderstood the film is is incredible; it's not about TV, folks, it's about how it controls complacent, mindless consumers like us, and always will. Posting the entire anti television monologue on your"
