"Watched on: June 13th, 2025. Well.. that wasn't as good (imo) as Texas Chainsaw 3D nor does it really feel like they're in the same universe as they're supposed to be aligned with the original. I can't really say I can fully accept that this would be a "prequel" to what would be the original '74 classic, I just can't. "Rated: R Why it’s rated: Chainsaw violence, nudity, Profanity and Adult situations."

"Plot: A young boy is ripped away from his overprotective and eclectic brood but all is eventual when it comes to family. Intended as a prequel to the original and, despite being victim to some behind the scenes issues, I believe it deserves a lot more credit than it gets. Largely a road movie that gives us a look into the family's past and Leatherface's advent, the movie has some stellar performances from Lily Taylor as the family's brutally protective mother and Stephen Dorf as an anti-hero Te"
