"Re-watch - Oct. 23rd No October Horrorfest is ever complete without at least one Vincent Price film, so when I saw my local theatre was screening House of Wax I was all in. And then I found out it'd be in 3-D and there was no way I'd miss it for anything. Turns out the 3-D technology actually works with modern "Real 3D" glasses, and so the film wound up being quite a treat. I had a blast with it all over again, and this time found the moments where it's showing off the 3-D aspects to be endeari"
“The original selling point for House of Wax was the 3D technology and stereophonic sound, not to mention the completely unnatural color scheme (not a complaint), but the film’s legacy remains in Vincent Price’s tortured, hammy performance. Come for can-can dancers sticking their legs and rumps directly into the camera, stay for Price’s burn victim makeup and stalking the night for corpses. It’s that kind of delightfully trashy movie.
