The Anniversary Party (2001)
An ensemble cast in a movie where nothing really happens
Stehako's rating:

Captain Corelli's Mandolin (2001)
Cage with a ridiculous Italian accent. Need I say more?
Stehako's rating:

Bridget Jones's Diary (2001)
Well, Renee Zellwegger is in it; that's never a good start.
Stehako's rating:

Original Sin (2001)
The title is deceiving, there's nothing original about this film.
Stehako's rating:

Not Another Teen Movie (2001)
A ridiculous parody that doesn't take anything seriously
Stehako's rating:

The Mummy Returns (2001)
The first was a fun family adventure; the second worked off that had crapped out a tiresome film.
Stehako's rating:

Along Came a Spider (2001)
And Along came another average crime thriller based off a James Patterson novel.
Stehako's rating:

The Fast and the Furious (2001)
Almost as creative as the franchise's fourth film title, "Fast and Furious"
Stehako's rating:

An intriguing look at the life of an unlikely porn hero
Stehako's rating:

Scary Movie 2 (2001)
What a drastic negative change from the first
The opening scene with the old people rapping to Mystical was a good start; but was to be followed by mostly crap.
Stehako's rating:

Monster's Ball (2001)
I found little reasoning behind Barry winning an Oscar for this role.
Stehako's rating:

Rat Race (2001)
What a mild mild mild mild remake of the classic; can you guess what the classic's name was?
Stehako's rating:

The Taste of Others (2000)
This French comedy about relationships is dialogue heavy and interesting enough half of the time.
Stehako's rating:

Hannibal (2001)
The first was smart, creepy and horrifying; the second was gross and still creepy.
Stehako's rating:

Lost and Delirious (2001)
The drama is a little soapy but the actresses do give ernest performances at times.
Stehako's rating:

Ghost World (2001)
Director: Terry Zwigoff
His 3rd Movie
My 4th movie watched from the director.
A rightfully odd look at two friends trying to tackle life immediately after graduation and trying to figure out who they are what they want to be. The main character's development is effectively shown in strange and lovely scenes. Actually released the year I graduated yet it took me 20 years to actually watch it.
Added to Lists:
The Child Actors of my Adolescence - Thora Birch, Scar Jo
Top Ten Performances - Scarlet Johansson
Steve Buscemi the best supporting actor of all time?
Stehako's rating:

Kate & Leopold (2001)
Meg Ryan makes a small rebound with in this movie with Wolverine
Stehako's rating:

I may have just fallen for... yes, I'm in love with Anne Hathaway.
Stehako's rating:

Jurassic Park III (2001)
Why did they make a third one. Did they really think adding Pteradactyles (sp?) would bring people back after a disappointing second film. They did one thing right, no Julianne Moore.
Stehako's rating:

Stehako's rating:

Behind Enemy Lines (2001)
Owen Wilson actually pulls off the serious role but comedy is where he excels
Stehako's rating:

Antitrust (2001)
This movie wants to be so much better than it is. It has all of the elements but execution is pedestrian. The most entertaining part about it is I am watching it in 2019 and it's about 'hot new' ideas from 2000/2001.
Stehako's rating:

The shipping news isn't great news; but we do get to experience a soft spoken Spacey selling it's easy to buy Blanchett being a bad bitch, too.
Stehako's rating:

The Mexican (2001)
Director: Gore Verbinski
His 2nd movie
My 9th movie watched from the director
Added to Lists:
Confusing Titles
Stehako's rating:

Judy playing Judy. This has to be Davis' best role in what is a surprisingly decent biopic, with exceptional performances from Hugh Laurie (playing Minnelli) and Victor Garber, as well.
Stehako's rating:

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001)
An iconic role for Jolie. A lot of flash but little substance in this action flick
Stehako's rating:

Joe Dirt (2001)
Pretty funny; but got old by the end. Kid Rock should not be in movies.
Stehako's rating:

Mean Machine (2001)
A British remake where they play football instead of American Football. Not as good as the original, better than the Sandler remake.
Stehako's rating:

Rock Star (2001)
Here's one actor who should not play a Mexican, or anyone for that matter. A pretty good movie with a pretty piss-poor actor (Mark Wahlberg) He, like Julianne Moore, ruins potentially great movies. Wait, they were both in 'Boogie Nights', how the hell did they not ruin that brilliant movie for me? Probably because it was one of the first films I had seen either one of them in.
Stehako's rating:

Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001)
Inconsistent animated styles kind of threw me off in this lesser-seen Disney movie that actually has a good story and the indelible voice of James Garner.

Stehako's rating:

Me Without You (2001)
Director: Sandra Goldbacher
Her 2nd Movie
My 1st movie watched from the director
Friel and Williams are incredible together and really make this the movie it is, which might not be memorable outside of their performances. Maclachlan plays an interesting role, too, widening his range a bit.

Baths that Last
Top Ten Performances - Anna Friel
Top Ten Performances - Michelle Williams (Honorable Mention)
Top Ten Performances - Kyle Maclachlan (Honorable Mention)
__________
Location: Isle of Wight and Brighton, England, UK
Stehako's rating:

Sexy Beast (2000)
Sir Kingsley is a bad ass. I thought there would be a lot more sex in it, though... I made it all the way through, but my friends left after 20 minutes.
Stehako's rating:

Osmosis Jones (2001)
Director: Peter & Bobby Farrelly
Their 5th movie
My 10th movie watched from the directors
High anticipation lead to low amusement. Still good enough for three stars, which is not good enough for the Farrelly Brothers
Added to Lists:
Animation/Life Action Hybrids
Inside the Human Body
Stehako's rating:

Crazy/Beautiful (2001)
When I watch this I think of an ex-girlfriend, as she fits perfectly in this role.
Stehako's rating:

Iris (2002)
Winslett and Dench, two British high-art actors; of course this will be good. Eh, they've done better.
