The Shop Around the Corner (1940)
A classic I finally got to see. It is based on a play and it inspired "You've Got Mail". This movie is sweet and lovely yet still dull compared to "You've Got Mail".
Stewart is his usual likable self but an average role for him.

Rebecca (1940)

Joan Fontaine is great as a victim of the presence of an ex-wife and... well, gorgeous.
...and so begins the strong female lead Hitchcock so brilliantly played.
Stehako's rating:

The Great Dictator (1940)

Chaplin's best film has everything you would want in one of his films, plus he SPEAKS in what is actually one of the best speeches in film history!
