Best Films of 1990

The weaker of two weak ski movies from 1990.

Silly and stupid; but I remember liking it as kid.

Fun to watch for the outrageous campyness. That wears out fairly quickly

Dull and sort of depressing

Too silly to truly enjoy, but gets me in the mood for ski season.

They were desperate to find something interesting in this.

One of the most unnecessary sequels ever

I used to actually also live in Playa Del Rey/Las Playas and at least this movie is a little more about the neighborhood than "Wicker Park" was.
Estevez showed he can direct a movie, even if it was subpar. Still, the two stars are likable.

An insightful, albeit one-sided, look into the tumultuous decade on a campus that made headlines every year.

Williams' energy is great in this and he delivers some very good lines. Otherwise everything about this is pretty average and nothing too interesting. I am entertained by him but never do I really care that much what happens to the characters.

De Palma was trying something here... from an impressive long shot (overshadowed by "Goodfellas" released this same year) and a series of not-so-serious characters in a satire that never really lands. Nonetheless Hanks carries the ensemble of soon-to-be-well-known character actors in what is a fairly satisfying ending.

This is Jim Henson meets Terry Gilliam. An adult movie full of antics, whacky characters and the common issues of life and show business.

Polanski had no part in this.

My 13th movie watched from the director

This is one of the popular movies that came out when I was a kid and have been interested in since its release... finally getting to see it. It didn't disappoint in that it was so of its time and felt very early 90s. Schumacher was good at making broad movies, even if none of them were excellent.
