“To be honest, it has been a while since I saw this movie and maybe I should re-watch it at some point. In France, it is a massive classic and it was a big critical and commercial success when it was released. Indeed, it was a prestigious production involving the adaptation of a French literary classic with Gérard Depardieu in the title role.
