What that means: Like a human antenna, Gary can view and interact with technological signals and crack encryptians using his brain. He is able to hack emails, security and street cameras making him a valuable asset in finding and tracking subjects.

Relevant info: Gary has high functioning autism which lends to obsessive behavior and an inablilty to fully socialize and empathize with others. He lives with his mother and gets annoyed with her for treating him like a child even though he isn't very independant. He is not affected by Nina's ability and is not a good liar, although his unusal behavior makes it hard to detect a lie.

Ability: Synesthete
What That means: Able to heighten one sense at a time by shutting down each other sense which leaves her vulnerable. She can literally see things on a microscopic level, track people by smell, and hear things from blocks away.

Relevant info: Rachel's parents are not accepting of her ability. She gets in a heated fight with her mother during a time when she was affected by a rage inducer and moved in with Nina as a result. She has issues with assertiveness and intimacy.

What That means: Able to "push" people into doing things they wouldn't otherwise do. She must have eye contact while issuing the verbal commands and her ability will not work on everyone.

Relevant info: Nina has a troubled past and has been with Dr. Rosen the longest. She has some issues with the fact that he could send her to Binghampton. It is revealed that she inadvertantly caused the death of a boyfriend and she is haunted by that grief. She comes across somewhat cold but is really just afraid of hurting someone else.

What That means: Essentially his brain is in perfect balance with his body. He has perfect aim, balance and is able to "predict" trajectories. His chase and fighting abilities are heightened as a result.

Relevant info: A former army sniper and minor league baseball player, Hicks was once used a sleeper agent for red flag. He is a recovering alcoholic who is going through a nasty divorce and custody hearing. His ability doesn't funtion when he is overly stressed but otherwise is a natural part of who he is.

What That means: Is able to activate his "fight or Flight" response to release a flood of adrenaline making him super strong and resistant to pain. It causes great stress to his body however and causes him to become drained after it wears off.

Relevant info: Bill used to be an agent with the FBI. He was suspended due to a physical outburst that broke someone's clavicle and opted to stay with the team once he was reinstated. He is married and his wife wants to start a family.

Name: The Ghost
Status: killed by Hicks

Relevant info: Unlike Nina, he must touch those he wishes to influence. He inplants suggestions in people then activates them over the phone to complete his task the kill themselves. He controlled both Hicks and Harkin before being killed.

Name: Marcus Ayers
Status: Unknown; Shot after escape from Binghamton, fell into river but his body wasn't recovered
Ability: advanced hyperkinetic
Relevant info: He can control the cause and effect and partially predict the future. He was the first Alpha Rosen worked with professionally. After a fire, Marcus is sent to Binghampton where doctors try to remove his ability which prompts his escape. He is trying to show Rosen that the government doesn't care what happens to him.

Status: Former Red Flag operative, deceased

Relevant Info: She cannot communicate through words but "speaks" through a language of random sounds interpreted on her ipad. She and Gary become friends and maintain their friendship even after she goes on the run from his team.

Status: Killed setting off an explosion while working for Red Flag

What that means: He could conduct electricity through himself without needing a source

Name: Jessica Elkhart

Relevant info: Jessica is able to make people feel extreme emotional attachment to her after physical contact and those affected will literally die of withdrawal if she takes her love away. She kills many people for torturing and bullying her son, and even manages to addict Rachel before being caught.

Ability: Quantitative Aptitudinal and technopath
Relevant Info: After initial discovery by Rosen, the DOD allows her to lead a normal life until she sabotages a machine she designed that would track any alpha.

relevant info: A cult like leader, Jonas allows his followers to see the light but they soon fall ill and eventually will pass if not treated.

What this means: Although completely blind, Kerns can detect cues through echolocation and use his sonic abilities to wreak havoc on structures.
Relevant Info: An obstetrician by trade, Kerns produced a vitamin that when given to women would counteract the vaccine to eliminate the possibility of Alpha children.

Relevant Info: Eric translates the minute variations of body language and facial expressions to detect truths. His ability doesn't work on Gary because of his autism. We will probably see more of him in season 2 because he was offered the opportunity to work with the team if he's good ad Binghampton.

Ability: a type of Empath who can force emotions onto others
Relevant info: Rosen's daughter, Danielle resents her father for the experiments and manipulations he did afterdiscoverin her ability.

Relevant info: He hopes to keep Alphas a secret while quietly waging war on humans. He doesn't care about anyone or anything other than power.
