Description: In a dusty, under-populated California resort town, Pinky Rose (Sissy Spacek), a naive and impressionable Southern waif begins her life as a nursing home attendant. "25/3/17 Robert Altman's surreal, dream-like tale of a young girl who enters into another woman's life and slowly starts to take it over. Sissy Spacek plays the girl with a superb performance from Shelley Duvall as the over-confident woman who is almost invisible to others. Strange, hypnotic and with an ear-piercing score, it's challenging but worth the tackle."

"Best I've seen from Robert Altman (which's not much). Shelley Duvall and Sissy Spacek are great here. It reminded me of Bergman's "Persona". The Dream secuence is just incredible. "
