" Rebellious teen Amy defies her parents by going to a trashy carnival that has pulled into town. In tow are her boyfriend, Buzz, and their friends Liz and Richie. Thinking it would be fun to spend the night in the campy "Funhouse" horror ride, the teens witness a murder by a deformed worker wearing a mask. Locked in, Amy and her friends must evade the murderous carnival workers and escape before it leaves town the next day. The Funhouse opened in 814 theaters in the United States on March "

"Pros: It’s like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, at a carnival. Some moments are decidedly effective. The make up effects, are top notch. Cons: It’s not of Tobe Hooper’s best films, that and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is the better film."
"Directed by: Tobe Hopper Cinematography: Andrew Laszlo "
"Watched on: August 9th, 2023. Trash movie, trash ending... took so long for the movie to end I didn't know what to think... music and sound effects (background) was so loud that you couldn't even hear wtf was going on the whole time... didn't care for the characters, kills were week (most offscreen), yah.. trash."
"Rated: R Why it’s rated: The fun in this The Funhouse, is graphic violence, adult situations, nudity, and profanity."
"26.10. Hooperin tivolissa on rasvainen tunnelma krapulaisine sisäänheittäjineen. Harmi, että tivolin mentyä kiinni tuli kovin tylsää."
"First viewing - Apr. 27th Shudder My 1st film watched from Shudder this month was Eaten Alive, so it felt fitting to choose another Tobe Hooper jam to be my last Shudder film for the month. I liked this one far better. It kicks off with a scene full of nods to the horror genre, only to pull back & let us enjoy some horror-free moments with our protagonist & her friends, before connecting back & forging its own path. I loved carnivals growing up, & this brought me back & left me wanting to go to"
"Four hormone-driven teens sneak into a funhouse at a traveling carnival, and plan to stay the night. Little do they know, it harbours a deformed sex-crazed maniac. Now, they've seen too much, and must find a way out, before the monster and his father find them...to dole out their own brand of carny justice. On the surface this movie seems like just another "mental defective/weirdo/lunatic" goes on a killing spree. Those were hardly rare in the 80's. But it's put together well with stylish dire"
