Oh What A Shocker

A classic example of the absolute crap they will play late at night on telly. After watching this for an hour I have no idea what compelled me to watch it for that long. Honestly, it's like watching something that you want to look away from but you just can't no matter how hard you try. The Leprechaun, which I suppose was meant to inspire fear in viewers, was just laughable. Was his 'wit' and his ... read more

The 'Leprechaun' films can be seen from either way. Some people will, and do, consider them guilty pleasures not to be taken seriously, most acknowledging that they are not necessarily great films. Others will, and do, dislike them for mostly being cheap, far from scary, too dumb to be entertaining and not very interesting.

On a planet in a distant galaxy, a power hungry Leprechaun, holds a beautiful alien princess hostage in order to marry her for her royal title. With her title and his beloved gold, he’ll be able to rule the universe. While making his maniacal plans, what he doesn’t count on is an invading platoon of marines from Earth, to save the princess and foil his plans. An accomplished trickster, the Leprechaun stows himself away on the orbiting spaceship and wreaks havoc on the crew in an attempt to recapture his bride and his gold.

" Our deadly leprechaun is in space to woo a beautiful princess who is impressed with his gold and desires to separate him from it. And there are space marines, in this movie, that totally defines the words “Jumping the Shark”. Followed Later, by two Leprechaun movies that take place in a urban setting. That being Leprechaun In Da Hood, and Leprechaun Back in Da Hood."

Being on a horror franchise roll recently, after having more free time after such a lot going on professionally and personally, finally decided to see all the 'Leprechaun' films to see which above extreme they would fall under. Even when genuinely trying to judge them for what they are and what they're trying to do, am going to agree with the latter. Disliked the first film as far as the previous three films go, and while the next two were marginal improvement” read more

"¿Qué puedo decir? Es más divertido de lo que parece (y con leer el título eso dice mucho) Tiene pequeños homenajes a otras películas de este tipo (como Aliens por ejemplo) Es un desastre y una pésima película, pero sigue siendo muy divertida."

" Did anyone need this movie? No. Is it worth a watch? Only if you're a fan of the Leprechaun series, and/or campy B horror movies as I am. I strongly prefer 3 to this one but it is still fun and Leprechaun's quips are fun as always. "
