To be honest, I wasn't really sure what to expect from this flick but since it was on the '1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die' list, I was quite eager to check it out. Well, it turned out to be a really solid film noir, that's for sure. In fact, the opening scene in the subway was just amazing and probably one of the best scenes I have seen in this genre. I liked as well the fact that there w... read more

Film Diary 2021 (210 movies items)

"18.8 This has to be one of the most impotent crime movies I have ever seen. Heavy on the anti-commie melodrama, easy on the action or anything interesting. This is the type of film that leaves you feeling physically disgusted especially after seeing the rave reviews. I mean wtf. "

" Notes: Well, it turned out to be a really solid film noir, that's for sure. In fact, the opening scene in the subway was just amazing and probably one of the best scenes I have seen in this genre.
