" Notes: First of all, What a year for Chloé Zhao! She was supposed to release her first huge blockbuster with 'Eternals'. However, because of the Coronavirus pandemic, it was postponed until late 2021 but, in the meantime, she managed to make and release this much smaller indie feature which turned out to be one of the most talked about movies during the awards season. On top of that, I have always been fascinated by such alternative lifestyles so I definitely had some rather high expectations"

" 2021 Director: Chloé Zhao Her 3rd movie My 1st movie watched from the director I love the use nearly all non-actors. The cinematography is effective and the two actual actors are strong. McDormand is a force and this had to a be a tough acting job, which makes it more impressive. The pacing was deliberately slow, but I didn't find it necessary, especially since there was no plot. "First viewing - Nov. 13th Much ado has been made about Nomadland, and I can see why. The cast is excellent all around, and there are some wonderfully human moments on display. I found the story to be quite fascinating, looking at real-life modern-day American nomads in a way that's respectful of their lives. I personally would have liked to see more POC characters, but perhaps this lifestyle is only embraced by white people. I liked it well enough for what it is, but it's nothing I'd go out of "
