"No hay que desaprovechar las oportunidades que te brinda tu entorno, más si sos joven. Una oda a la juventud y el tiempo que pasa volando cada vez más rápido."
"Can't – or won't – deny the energy that's oozing from the first 75 or so minutes of this movie. It's a shame it goes for what could be referred to as a hideakiannoesque existentialist action scene towards the end ostensibly set in the mind of an unlikeable incel creep with no particular redeeming features or arc that the film still sorta just ends up rewarding for his efforts because... I dunno. It gives the movie a much more nihilistic tone than the rest of it which feels rather optimistic "
"5.21 Masaaki Yuasa, 2017 It has 3 distinct arcs and at the end of each one it felt like the movie was ending so the start of each of these chapters always feel like it drags a bit but they always ended up taking the film somewhere I loved more and the actual ending is super, super cute. It might be Yuasa's most restrained film visually, which is to say, much less restrained than anyone else and at first I was a bit disappointed by it but I get why it needed to be that way and it didn't effect "
" Date: 2/14/2019 Viewed: Blu-Ray Re-watch Note: Still easily one of my favorite movie of this decade. I have seen it three times already and I love it more with each viewing. This movie has a strange and creative way of telling a simple love story. It's funny, abstract, and charming all at the same time. The movie has a lot of depth going on in the story with the great use of symbolism. This movie is a must see for sure."
" Note: My #1 favorite movie of 2018 and probably one of my favorite movie of the 2010s. I highly recommend it because the movie has wonderful characters, great humor, amazing animation, great camerawork and fantastic use of surrealism. Probably the best theatrical experience that I had in a very long time when I saw it back in August 2018. I would also recommanded to check Mind Game, Devilman: Crybaby and The Tamtai Galaxy which are from the same director (Masaaki Yuasa). "
"26.7. Masaaki Yuasan animointityyli, dialogin tempo ja tarinan rytmitys on jotain omaa luokkaansa. Siis kaikin puolin kelvollinen filmi. Suositeltava ohjaajatapaus jok'ikiselle."
"SCREENING: Preview DATE: October 1st CINEMA: ICA LOCATION: The Mall SHORTS: This is Colour (★★★½)"
