"Not entirely sure if this deserves to be on a fav-best list, cause it's nice yeah but not that amazing. Even if I love fantastic universes, dragons, monsters, aliens and the like, I don't consider myself an enthusiast when it comes to this genres of movie. I watch many of these, cause I'm interested and curious 'bout them but in the end I'm often "nah". It's the case of kaijus, I don't even watch them, usually and the idea of Gojira or Kong doesn't entertain me. Who watched this Shin Gojira"

“Hideaki Anno es uno de mis directores favoritos de anime, encima de Yuasa y Kon, pero en cine nunca me ha impresionado particularmente, salvo por esta preciosidad. Visto superficialmente es otra película de Godzilla, entretenimiento barato. Revisado con una mejor lupa, es una excelente crítica social, semejante a la original. You know, like the pandemic. And then"

"First viewing - July 12th I missed Shin Godzilla's theatrical run because it was released around the same time I moved across the country, and when I got here its run was over. I've kept it in my head since then, and decided to watch it with the kiddo. The effects side of the film is a treat, watching Gojira grow and change is a delight. The production value on this film is solid all around, and I regret not being able to see it in a theatre where I could get the full effect. If I had any compl"

" First Viewing Viewing Date: March 19th Via: Blu-ray Plot: Japan is plunged into chaos upon the appearance of a giant monster. Rating: 6.7/10"

"Often Hated For: Not having enough Godzilla action, changing the mythos and look of the titular beast, and long scenes with humans. Reason I Love It: Well, if you have an attention span this movie proves itself very early on. The real world aesthetic sells the terror of Godzilla by treating him like a emergency crisis that must be responded to by bureaucrats scrambling for a foothold. I also loved the idea of injecting something new into the tired Godzilla franchise which the movie provided wi"
