Charming story, nice twist, unrealistically clean resolution.
An average movie

“I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this flick but since it seemed to have a decent reputation and since it was available on Disney+, I thought I might as well check it out. Furthermore, I was curious to finally see Chris Evans outside the MCU after 10 years playing almost exclusively Captain America. Well, to be honest, I don’t really get why this movie did get such a high rating on IMDb (a whopping 7.6). I mean, sure, it was not bad at all but, eventually, it was not really much more than that though. Above all, the whole thing was so generic and completely predictable. At least, Chris Evans and Mckenna Grace, especially Grace, were not bad at all and I have to admit that they had a pretty good chemistry together. Still, the scene during which they went to a hospital to witness ” read more

Gifted falls short of perfection due to screenplay shortcomings, but it's an encouraging effort from the director, even though it unfortunately failed to receive any attention from the major award shows. With Webb at the helm, this is an agreeably breezy and involving watch, and as a result it never feels like monotonous homework.

"I personally enjoy greatly watching tv-shows and movies about children labeled as "genius". Seeing trailer for this movie, I was instantly compeled to watch it. Trailer intrigued! Actors and filming style also looked appealing. To sum up: Unfortunately, the trailer was better than the movie itself. Again, cliche story of family drama, relationships. I expected to see more of brilliant math or something more like "Brilliant Mind"! Maybe that's only me. Overall, acting was decent for the "apatheti"
