" Snake Plissken, is back! And this time, he has to Escape From L.A.! An L.A. separated from the mainland by an earthquake. More or less, it’s pretty much Escape From New York, but it’s in L.A. It’s an ok film, but the original movie is a lot better. There are cameos from Peter Fonda, and Bruce Campbell, and Steve Buscemi has a memorable role, too. If anything it’s great, seeing John Carpenter, with Kurt Russell, again. Box office wise, it did average, and critics gave mixed reviews. "
