I wasn't expecting much from this flick but since I have a weak spot for Kevin Costner, I thought I should give it a try. Tom Shadyac had some major success with comedies ('Bruce Almighty', 'Liar Liar', 'The Nutty Professor', 'Ace Ventura: Pet Detective') especially with Jim Carrey but this time, he tries something completely different, a supernatural drama. Dr. Joe Darrow's (Kevin Costner) wife Emily (Susanna Thompson) has died in a bus accident in South America, and he's slowly learning how to cope with her death...until dead and dying patients start to speak to him in his wife's voice.
