As with any comedy, The Campaign is destined to draw mixed reactions since humour is so highly subjective. I’ll be honest, as the movie started I was already annoyed that Will Ferrell again resorted to playing the buffoon, A.K.A. Ron Burgundy, except now his name was Cam Brady and he has been an unchallenged four-term Democratic US Representative from North Carolina. In struts (I use that term very lightly) Zach Galifianakis.

To be honest, I wasn't really sure what to expect from this flick but since there was a decent cast involved and since it was available on Netflix, I thought I might as well check it out. “To be honest, I wasn't really sure what to expect from this flick but since there was a decent cast involved and since it was available on Netflix, I thought I might as well check it out. Well, even though it didn't reach the level of 'Game Change' (I still have to watch 'Recount'), it was actually a decent political comedy coming from Jay Roach. Indeed, first of all, I have always been fascinated by politics and they gave here a rather dark and cynical view on this subject but it was pretty neat that, even though some of it was quite over-the-top, it was still not really far from what actually might happen in real life.
