A Clockwork Orange (1971)
Yes, many don't consider this horror, but it has horrific elements. If you don't care for it, that's fine. I hope there are others here that may interest you if you were curious enough to click.

Afraid of the Dark (1992)
I loved this so much when I was about 9, but some scenes gave me chills to this day. It stayed in my head and I thought about the plot for a long time after.
Lex's rating:
Very little blood in the movie, very little gore, but it's the growing tension and the fear of being ostracized that makes this movie so frightening.

What's scarier than being a child and thinking your father is having a psychotic break down? Thinking that he is on a rampage to cleanse the world of "demons" and wants your help...

Ju-on: The Grudge (2003)
Eerie. If stuff related to ghosts creeps you out, prepared to get chills...

Kalifornia (1993)
More thriller than classic "horror", but what's creepier than being stuck on a road trip with a serial killer and his emotionally immature, disturbed "woman"?
Plus David Duchovny was so hot back in 1993. I miss 1993. Sort of.

Manhunter (1986)
Very 1986, love the music, love William Petersen in this role. VERY under-appreciated movie. The atmosphere in this, Petersen as Will Graham exudes angst and intelligence and I found myself thinking about the film for days after...

Spider (2002)
Just. Creepy. If you have the patience to sit through a slow-moving Cronenberg film.

This is a clip not a trailer. This might not be technically classified as a horror, but I think it's pretty darn freaky!
Lex's rating:
The Cold Light of Day (1996)
Couldn't find a trailer for this, but I remember it being great. Don't get it confused with the new movie with the same name (2011 or 2012 movie). This is a foreign movie with subtitles.
Lex's rating:
The Eye (2002)
Much better than the remake. And very, very creepy.
I would not want to see this at night, alone, with the lights off....!

There is no trailer but here is the movie, parts 1 and 2

Just what it says. There is nothing wrong with loving slasher flicks, splatter punk, grade b movies, etc but these movies tend to be much "slower" paced and are perfect for people that like to analyze movies.
