What a freaking fantastic series! Insane at least, limitless at best!
Walter has one of the most fascinating processes of development I have ever seen in a character. That together with the brilliant writing of Breaking Bad makes this series stand out from every other TV series that aired at the same time. This is quality material, 99% purity level!
Simply mind-blowing.

True Detective (2014)
Every couple of years there comes a TV series that changes the game (Lost in 2004, Dexter in 2006, Breaking Bad in 2008, and to some degree Walking Dead and Spartacus in 2010).
True Detective came and graced our TV screens in 2014, with one of the darkest, grittiest and most brutal mystery thrillers ever told in an episodic format. The characters are unforgettable, the performances of Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey in the first season are Oscar-worthy, the pacing is perfect and the story takes you through a journey into the most repulsive sides of the human mind.
True Detective is a detective story, but there's a point to every episode since everything connects into a bigger picture. It's more like a Silence of the Lambs or Se7en type of movie told through chapters than a typical TV series.

Lost (2004)
A long Journey with highs and lows, but forever one that has had some of the most impactful moments I have felt in any form of entertainment. Starting from the excitement of the departure, getting into the mysteries along the road, going through the confusion of getting lost and ultimately reaching the much expected destination and feel all the raw emotions that go with it. Was there a point to all of it? I don't know. Was it worth it? Definitely.
Lost will forever be one of the most memorable things in my life.
Talk to me about Lost and I'll be the first one to admit its flaws, but I will also try to show you how enlightening this series can be.

Dexter (2006)
The most interesting character of all time.
The most thrilling TV series I have ever watched.
The most amazingly well-crafted twists in any form of entertainment.
I rest my case.
Yes I love this show, there's no words on my vocabulary that can express the excellency of Dexter. Lost is much more emotive throughout, but Dexter amazes me in every season finale, every major episode and every reveal moment.
Dexter could be among the best of the top-tier American television shows, were it not for its average last seasons which ruined the show for many fans. I did lose interest from seaosn 6 onward, but Dexter is still one of the best TV series out there, if not only for its first couple of seasons.

Game of Thrones (2011)
As Sean Bean said: "It's Lord of the Rings with sex"
Well of course there's a joking tone about it, Game of Thrones is much more than that. There's a main plot that resolves around the conflict for the throne and the various parties involved, but then there's also betrayal, love and twists. The narrative is one of the best of the last years and the characters are all so unique and perfectly developed that by the end of the first episode, there's simply no coming back.

Firefly (2002)
A fantastic cast, great western/sci-fi settings, a lot of humorous elements and some episodes that are simply masterpieces of storytelling.
Veed's rating:

The Walking Dead (2010)
A zombie apocalypse-dedicated full TV series? Hell yes! This is the one that gave us what we wanted and the hype was huge! But it somewhat delivered. Good narrative, drama, romance, and plenty of zombie action!
Note: HOLY F*@% at a certain season 2 twist! I died a little inside. One of the finest twists of TV Drama, honestly.

Spartacus (2010)
THIS IS SPARTACUS!
General Maximus meets King Leonidas in a raw form of entertainment that simply pulls you in and leaves you wanting for more!
-Gods of the Arena (2011)
A much interesting prequel that lives up to the amazing and surprising "Blood and Sand". It's more of the same, but somewhat more refined. While the season "Blood and Sand" is a rough diamond, this mini-series "Gods of the Arena" is a more polsihed work.

Veed's rating:

This series stands in my top series for the amazing first and second season. It kinda went downhill from there, but still a pretty good show.
Veed's rating:

Sons of Anarchy (2008)
I'm just in the beginning, but it already looks very promissing. It's some kind of Sopranos on wheels, really interesting stuff and hardcore TV!
