Gone Girl (2014)
I watched the movie literally 5 minutes after finishing the book- which I loved. I really, really loved it. This was a very strong book to movie adaptation and I totally appreciate it. I was worried that they wouldnt be able to portray the characters correctly, but they did so to a tee.

A dark, insidiously funny satire on the self-involved ways otherwise rational people can allow narrow personal agendas to lead them astray to the point of self-destruction.

I love quirky comedies and this definitely fit the bill! I love turning on a movie and seeing my favorite actress light up the screen unexpectedly. Olivia Wilde is wonderful.

The Fifth Element (1997)
Wow. I don't know how I haven't seen this before, but it was strange. In a good way. A very quirky, weird, what the hell is going on kind of way.
